Ohtani had a no-hitter through 5 innings. Roberts pulls him and the Phillies put up 5 runs to lead 5-4 in the 6th.

Frustrating for a feel-good story like the Brewers. They've given away so many wins recently while the Phillies keep winning games they have no business winning. The Brewers are a far superior team and infinitely more sentimentally deserving of the best record in baseball.

Dodgers slow playing ohtani's return to the mound.

Unfortunately, the bullpen sucks this year

This statement makes you sound like spoiled teenager, The Philles are a good team, they are not the Rockies.

In the last 12 games the Phillies are 10-2 while the Brewers are 6-6, If the Brewers want to secure the 1 seed, play better.

If you knew ball, you would know that Ohtani underwent major surgery on his arm and they have him on a pitch count. As much of a dipshit I think Roberts is, he stuck to his plan here.

Dodgers were among the leaders in baseball in blown saves last year too but seemed to somehow get things together in the playoffs.

But they knew they had a problem, so they went out and gave Tanner Scott a huge 4-year contract and then got what many considered the next best free agent reliever Yates as well. Yet, they have been even worse this year!! Tanner Scott has blown 9 saves and is just coming off the IL, Yates has over a 5 ERA and the Dodgers lead all of baseball with 31 blown saves.

And now they have Scott for another 3 years unless they want to eat the money, which for them would not be a big deal at all - they have monopoly money with the big tv contract.

The playoffs are becoming more and more a bullpen contest and the Phillies bullpen is by most statistical models in the bottom third of baseball.

Schwarber is having a career year, but their lineup is aging and has had a few prolonged offensive swoons during the course of the year, I'm not so sure they are as solidly the front-runner as others do - especially without Wheeler.

And even the "bad" baseball teams are pretty good compared to the "bad" teams in any other sport. Especially before recently.

Until about 2018, it was virtually unheard of for an MLB team to lose more than about 103 games in a year, let alone get to 110 losses. (Which seems to happen almost every year nowadays.)

Still, even these 110+ loss teams are pretty good compared to the 16-66 teams in the NBA.

Sucks? The Dodgers bullpen is a five-alarm dumpster fire in cleats.

WTF? Do you know how good their starting pitching is? The addition of Bader in the lineup has been massive.

Seeing as he’s the Dodgers manager that’s not his concern now is it
