Well no shite he should have pulled his pitcher...now that you know he gave up the game winning run

The MSB in a nutshell. Every mother fricker is Tony La Russa after the fact

The bunt was kinda inexcusable.

I agree about pulling Hill early in Game 2. But what did he do that was so bad tonight? Kershaw just wasn’t good.

Roberts has been horrible all series. I think he lost game 2 for LA by keeping Logan Forsythe out of the game in order to play the Crypt Keeper, Chase Utley. Forsythe has been one of LA's hottest hitters in the postseason and he's a better fielder than Utley. Utley's error in that game cost LA a run that proved to be the decisive run. And Roberts handling of the bullpen all series has been atrocious.

I've started calling him Dave "Short Bus" Roberts.

Roberts isn't going to be fired. But I question his quick hook on Maeda. And bringing Morrow in after he threw a lot of pitches last night is a bone head move. Even if Jansen gets out of the inning, we have Fields and Bmac.... Astros would have rocked those guys again. Why Ryu isn't on the roster is another dumb decision by Roberts.

leaving jansen in the game aws probably the one fricking thing he did right all night long.

the bunt, the pitcher he put in the game after pitching 2 days and leaving him in the game to let someone who is fresh warm up, only to have them come in the game and get a 1 2 3 inning lol, the not sending the dude home ,

they lost the game becuase he wouldn't pull the hook on a picture becuase he needed time to warm up. when the guy he had in the game was literally throwing batting practice

the execution was bad, but it was the right decision imo.

Is there something to this "the baseballs for the WS or slicker" thing? Pitchers are saying their sliders are not sliding. I sure did see an inordinate amount of hangers last night?

Look at 2011 Texas. Series like this mind f*ck a team and you need new energy/blood

Unfortunately Texas has Jon the Moron as GM. How many playoff series have they won since 2011?

People would have been ready to crucify Hinch for pinch running for McCan if Bregman would have struck out. Those same exact people would have been ready to crucify him if he kept McCan in and he got thrown out at home on that Breg hit. Hindsight is 20/20, especially so in baseball.

Yeah I was thinking about this as it happened. I think he did it at the right time when he was in scoring position. You don't want to put him in with 2 outs at first for McCann. If Bregman or Altuve didn't come through, that certainly would have had a big effect on the rest of the game. It worked out and was a calculated risk. No way McCann makes it home on that Bregman hit.

Last night's game was lost because of moves Roberts made Friday. Morrow and Maeda were spent, yet he tried to trot them out there last night and he paid for it.

Mattingly is to the Dodgers what Fat Phil Fulmer is to the Vols.

Nah. Turner had a bad leg, hence the DH spot for him last night. Plus, you're playing for 1 run against an Astros staff that was dog shite.

You've got to swing away there.

This I can agree with. It's an aggressive strategy in hoping your starters go deep in the game. When Kershaw struggled, that's when it really bit him in the arse for playing everyone.

Roberts and Hinch have managed their pitchers poorly, but they've also been let down by those guys.

Roberts probably shouldn't have pulled Wood last night after his first hit allowed.

Easy for some pitchers, not for others that live off of them.
