What choice did he have. The other dudes have been getting blasted all series. McCarthy, fields and stripling were left

If you look in the game thread there are Astros fans melting about Hinch as well. Some people are just never happy.

What did he do that was so bad? At some point the players on the field win or lose the game.

Baseball is the worst sport by far filled with fans that love to point and place blame after the fact.

Well no shite he should have pulled his pitcher...now that you know he gave up the game winning run.

People would have been ready to crucify Hinch for pinch running for McCan if Bregman would have struck out. Those same exact people would have been ready to crucify him if he kept McCan in and he got thrown out at home on that Breg hit. Hindsight is 20/20, especially so in baseball.

By context Im guessing this is about leaving Jansen in? You gotta go win or lose with your best on the field. Absolutely no way I would have put in Fields or McCarthy at that point if I was in his position. You have the best closer in the game.

Yep. Armchair managers everywhere who think they know baseball more than someone who has been involved in the majors half their life. Why doesn’t Kershaw deserve some blame for not pretecting a 4-0 lead?

I mean. He’s good. He plays analytical baseball. Sometimes that can backfire.

Would be epic if every team the Astros played in the playoffs replaced their manager.

Meh. I could see an argument that he over managed in Game 2 with the pitchers (at least looking back on it, but again, hindsight)...tonight he did fine. You only have so many pitchers when youve played 3 in a row.

Absolutely. You win or lose with your best reliever there.

OP wasn't questioning the Jansen move. Game 2 was terrible and there were several moves tonight that were poor.
