How does the DAT feel about the start times?

If someone says, "1pm no respect," cool.

If someone remarks, "8pm is too late," I'm going to lose my isht.

I don’t mind the afternoon times on Friday’s because I don’t really have to work Friday afternoons. I like them a lot actually. When they’re on a Tuesday or something it sucks for me and I understand most people have to be in the office at 1 pm on a Friday

I'm working nights all this weekend so I'll miss Saturday night's game but I'll be able to watch the game Friday.

If Maddon goes to the Angels, will that make the pull for Cole even stronger?

Don’t see why it would have an impact

I'm liking both of them tbh. I don't work Friday afternoons but if I did then I'd be pissed.

The 8:00 game will give me time to drive in. check in to the hotel and go get dinner and drinks pregame.

Anyone got rec.'s on where we should go pregame? We're staying at the JW Marriott downtown, so somewhere around that or Minute maid would be preferred

I'm not worried about the Angels even if they get Cole. They're not a good organization.

What’s the best sports book to watch the games in Vegas?

I have been to South Point before and really enjoyed the sports book there. That is the place Brent Musburger works for.

+1

If I were out there, I'd go there. Old school guys run that sportsbook. Would be awesome to see him do his radio show there but Brent is in London with the Raiders this week.

Has a Game 1 starter been announced?

We had Verlander pitch in Game 2s in 2017, I’d be good with that again.

Pretty sure Verlander started game 1 against the Red Sox and only went game 2 in the ALCS bc we had to use him out of the bullpen in game 4 of the DS

He also started Game 2 of the World Series.

Right, bc he had to throw game 6 of the ALCS and that kept him on full rest.

Anyways, I actually gave a little thought to starting Cole game 1 and wouldn’t personally mind it but we know what we will get out of JV in the post and I think he absolutely sets the tone for all of October so let’s have him go out and shove it up whoever’s arse.

I’m good either way.

Two of the best in the bigs.

I'm going to have to take my wife to the airport then go pick up my kid from daycare in the middle of game 1... but hopefully I can watch the beginning and end and listen to the middle.

Not ideal, but better than nothing.

9 PM here... yeah that shite is too late. At least I'll get to watch though without any interruptions. I'll just have to nap when the kid does Sunday afternoon.

I was making customer calls and listening to game last year. It was actually pretty cool. Caught like half the game in a customers office.
