107 wins, gents. Let us not take that for granted. Truly an amazing year, all things considered. Now it's time to finish the job.

And with all the bitching that goes on here during a 107 win season, I'm glad I didn't hang around this thread during the 100 loss seasons

What a season...makes me kinda wish for the Olden days where they just went straight to the World Series after winning the pennant.

Was discussing JV vs Cole with a buddy and both of their stats are just absurd

JV had the 2nd best WHIP in modern era baseball history behind 2000 Pedro. And JV started 5 more games

Cole has the 35th most strikeouts in MLB history. The most in the live ball era for anyone not named Nolan Ryan or Randy Johnson

The last 2 years we’ve only carried 11 pitchers in ALDS

Then 12 for the 7 game series

Considering he did that in the steroid era is astounding.

I am too lazy to look but I’d be curious to how many years the loser would win of the last 15 or so years

He got 3 starts and less than 20 innings from his ace
He got 1/3 of an inning for one of his best relivers
His starting 3B got less than 20 AB
His starting CF played less than 60 games
His starting RF and MVP candidate played in only 101 games
His starting DH played 17 games
His replacement DH played 44 games
His starting SS played 81 games
His starting C played 85 games
Tanaka and Happ are the only two pitchers to hit 30 games started

What Boone has done this year is fantastic

He needs to learn about the Hunch secret... rest days.

I don’t know what the Yankees’ record would have been if they had better luck on that front. Ridiculous.

Even though we're likely the 1 or 3pm game, when are they gonna freaking announce the ALDS start times. It's already Monday.

MLB gives exactly zero fricks about the fans who actually want to go to the games and need to plan accordingly. There is no reason why they can't post the times. There are 4 games Friday. We know the Yankees will play at night. It has been written and decreed in the Bible that the Yankees play in prime time. It can't be hard to slot the rest of them, regardless of how the wildcard games shake out.

Yep. Or 4:00 at the latest, but my bet is 1:00.

However, the Saturday game should be later in the afternoon and this is the only positive of LSU playing at 11AM. There shouldn't be any overlap.

Looks like the TV slots are 1pm and 3pm on Friday. TBS has the 4pm and 7:30 slots on their website.
