Idk if this guy is credible. Doesn't seem to make much sense for us though.

I mean I guess just utility infielder backup role? Still weird with money so tight around the threshold and having Dubon capable of playing anywhere in the infield

Would we consider playing Yordan in LF a lot more than we have previously? I do not endorse that plan, but that might be why (DHing Paredes and/or Walker more than they have in the past)

Espada has said he intends to play Yordan less in LF this year.

Seems to me Dubon would have to go if Polanco was signed.
Unless of course they are willing and able to flip Paredes or even trade Pena for a starting outfielder they want.

Padres just won the off season.

Good.
Anytime he runs I cringe. Even when he homers, I wish he could just walk back to the bench like they do in beer league softball

Dubon is your LF. Although he also serves as a reserve infielder so you'll get your fill from a smorgasbord of crap like Dezenzo, Trammel, Leon. Please enjoy.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Whatever happened to the GM who swung that trade? Hopefully he was recognized for his service.

The funny part about this deal is Click is in Toronto now as essentially the second in command

Will Bregs come crawling back? If he does, does Crane say yes?

At least with all the Dodgers bullshite, the baseball world is starting to find a new villian to hate.

Just signed their closer to a 4 for $72M deal on the heels of the Sasaki signing
I guess the LA fires are not projected to have any effects on attendance and concessions
I would think their margin for profitability might come down to what they can charge for parking. Not sure how their fans will afford water at the games. I mean it’s obviously scarce
I wonder if MLB would consider having all of their games played in Japanese prime time to help compensate them and their fire ravaged fans?

The Dodgers are set to make more than $330 million off their TV deal. Meanwhile the Rangers RSN deal with Bally sports has fallen apart. They don't even have a traditional TV partner for 2025 right now. It's entirely DTC streaming. They're expected to negotiate with individual carriers. The estimate is that they'll bring in 60ish million in broadcast money. Well that certainly has an impact on financial ability on both teams ends of the spectrum. But the baseball media would have you believe "every team could spend like the Dodgers if they weren't so cheap and greedy!!!"
The destruction of the traditional TV deals are creating more disparity between the haves and the have nots. It's just going to be the Yankees and Dodgers year after year.

Yeah, my post as you well know is dripping with sarcasm
Every once in a while, there’s a glimmer of hope that it’s all based on commitment to your craft and the purity of the game
Then you wake up
But I must say the baseball gods do have a way of disrupting best laid plans

They just steadfastly refuse to do anything about the OF. I’m not asking for a superstar. I’m just asking for Not Jake Meyers.
Whole offseason has at best been net neutral when if you assume a wash at 3B (not saying I believe that but best case) a major upgrade at 1B, a massive downgrade in the OF.
