Hopefully he gives them a bigger leash than they gave Luperffido - dude got what, 30 games before being sent away for a pitching rental?

They think that Dezenzo can play corner OF with the arm for RF if he can handle tracking the ball in the air. They will give Whitcomb a chance to prove he can play LF. I think one or both will work out because they can really hit.

However, not finding one really good veteran to anchor the OF for 2025 seems like a big mistake that I don't think they intend to make.

I am hoping there’s a creative salary swap they can make with Pressly for someone

Laugher when I saw a tweet saying Brown was looking for a left-handed hitter for the OF. Like mother fricker you just traded Tucker away.

Why do these guys keep Boras around?

Now Boras is whining about the Astros? To bad, Scott.

Merry Christmas DAT!

Hopefully Santa comes through with that LF bat I asked for.

Enjoy the DAT community

Probably more so before first pitch and the last

I pose a question for those with an opinion. What happens to JV? I have not heard any talk about his future.

Could a team possibly work out some kind of Clemens deal where he only pitches at home, or does he truly think he can make a run at historical numbers like 300?

Can he find those lost MPH or learn to pitch without them? That's the real question.

You’ve got to be better than he’s been to get that kind of deal

I think over time players will finally learn most teams hate Boras and don't want to do business with him. A couple learned last year and fired him. More to come.

Sad thing is that could have easily done that type of deal if not for paying over $30M to Abreu and Montero.

I think we’re shopping more in the $10 mil AAV zone (at most) and that’s only if they can deal Pressly.
