Astros draft that year also included Thomas Eshelman, traded for Ken Giles and made it to the majors for Baltimore.

And Ralph Garza who made it to the majors this season with the Astros and is in line to earn a ring. (He was eventually waived and selected off waivers by the Twins to make room for trades.)

LFG!

ALCS Game 6 was awesome. Sat in section 110 for the series clinching win.

The Astros drafted Luken Baker out of high school in that draft as well. He went to TCU and was later selected by the Cardinals in the second round of the 2018 draft. Former LSU pitcher Zac Person was selected in that draft too.

Marwin for Meyers is the only difference

Makes sense to me with their lefty relievers, and playing in the NL where Astros will likely need to PH early

ETA just came out

Also Urquidy is starting game 2 which I’m fine with.

I know Garcia is so much better at home but the extra days rest could help him, and I’d like to see Urquidy back on the mound sooner

The Stros have never won Game 1 of a World Series.

Let’s pack it up and get ready for tomorrow. At least we are 1-2 in Game 2.

I'm not happy with this. I thought changing the rotation and starting McCullers in Chicago was a mistake and I still think it was. I think the home crowd is more important to Luis than the extra rest.
