I'd take Bregman at 6 years/$100 million over Trout at 12 years/$430 million.

Even with how good Trout is, the last 4-5 years of that contract will likely suck for the Angels.

That’s not really how I meant to pose the question because no one takes salaries into account when voting MVP.

Gonna have to win 2 out of 3 this week. To clinch won't be easy.

Well, not winning tonight, so then 1 out of 3 this wknd should do it

The Rays did us a solid, but they have their own concerns too

I just read a preview article on ESPN that said Springer, Yuli, and Altuve are getting the day off. Anybody seen the schedule?

How would we feel about James being an opener for Miley? Hunch could have tried it tonight, since he’s white flagging it.

And now Correa is out for the whole weekend. Geez....

Hinch “hopes” he’s ready for the ALDS.

Not sure there is a player on any team I follow that I hate more than Correa. I honestly am looking forward to him getting traded.

Not directing this at you specifically Lou but I’m starting to believe people actually think trading Correa is going to happen since it’s being posted in threads daily

Everyone needs to accept the fact he ain’t getting dealt while on his rookie deal. He’s certainly gonna be the one core guy we let walk without trying to keep but it would be near impossible to get equal value for him in a trade, especially with his “injury” history

Eta: this in no way is a post to defend him. He’s absolutely been a bitch

He's fine, will play tomorrow...

Just being cautious, not gonna play the next 2 games.

Ok hes out for the series

Hope to have him back by ALDS.

Like I said last night when he didn't play, they always string this shite along and tell us hes fine, no big deal and then the clown misses 2 months. At this point it doesn't even feel like a gut shot if hes out for the playoffs. Who cares? You can't count on him.

I’ll be honest here, I don’t care if he plays or not. They’ve been without him basically the second half of the season.

What does he bring, this season and being mentally fragile, that will help this team?

Just popping in to say frick Correa he’s a giant pussy.

Until he comes up with a big hit in the playoffs, which I doubt he will, he’s dead to me.

I wish hinch was given some truth serum. I guarantee if he and JL had to tell the truth about their feelings toward Correa it wouldn't be pretty.

@brianmctaggart

When asked if the Astros would have to manage Correa's air travel differently considering the back injury, Hinch said: "We can call Deshaun Watson and see what it was like to ride a bus across country."

I mean Hinch has been far more candid the last 2 nights than he usually is.

Do you remember the night he left the last game he played? Supposedly, and the broadcast team was foretold of it, he was scheduled to come out right after that at bat. But I pointed out that the swing he took and the pitch he missed was the same swing and miss on the same type of pitch that put him on the IL last year and earlier this year.

One of two things is happening here. He’s legitimately hurt more than they think or he’s faking it to force the organization to trade him. A 25 year old shortstop with chronic back pain that can only play half a season or simply a guy that doesn’t want to play in Houston anymore. Either way, I see no reason the organization can justify keeping him. He’s either a gingerbread man or he’s a pussy.
