Local TV sportscaster gets more scoops than the beat writers, sad!

It's a miracle that he's never gotten too big for little ol local Fox. He could have been bigger than Woj, imo

So I get tired of people saying the Astros aren't really this good they just play in a bad division. When you remove the Astros contest against the AL west teams the records look like this.

Note: parenthesis represent numbers vs Astros

Arlington
Wins: 38 (3)
Losses: 37 (7)
Pct: .507 (.300)

Anaheim
Wins: 40 (4)
Losses: 39 (6)
Pct: .506 (.400)

Seattle
Wins: 38 (3)
Losses: 38 (7)
Pct: .500 (.300)

Oakland
Wins: 35 (2)
Losses: 38 (10)
Pct: .479 (.167)

So to me it looks like the Astros are just making potential 80+ win teams look like 100+ loss teams

Random "hot takes" for sports media and/or opposing fans. Just attempting to illustrate that the AL west likely isn't as bad as people think it is, the Astros just happen to live in it.

Hello DAT! I'm finally back and able to watch games again. So much has happened in my absence.

5 all stars!

In case anyone missed the post last night, Josh Reddick's numbers since he came back from the concussion:

13 games
21/44 (.477)
3 HR
8 doubles
16 RBI.

Pretty legit....

Mark Berman @MarkBerman
#Astros reach deal with RHP Kyle Serrano (@KSerrano11) from Tennessee (@Vol_Baseball). 10th round, 301 overall. Gets $203K.

Dude will pitch in the big leagues at least as a late-innings reliever IMO. Steal.

Stroman fits the Astros starting pitcher profile so perfectly that they have to be interested. I imagine Happ is also someone they'll kick the tires on.

i wonder what stroman would cost. i ultimately think quintana, archer, and cole are better and i think gray would cost a little less since he only has one more year of arbitration left

Gray is controlled through 2019 so he has two more years of arb. I think Stroman is a better pitcher than Quintana personally
