More from MLB Trade Rumors on Correa:

Rome reports (alongside The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal) that talks between the sides have continued despite both sides downplaying the likelihood of a trade.

The Correa thing is one of those deals where Crane could suddenly decide at 1 pm he’s fine with Minnesota covering less of the salary and it’s back on, similar to Verlander, Greinke. Also entirely possible it’s revisited in the winter

Huh? Can't imagine we would let Caratini go with the lack of LH bats we have and they would really have to hate the way Diaz handles the staff to give up his more than average production from the C spot
Caratini stays.

I agree with this. But, who the hell takes Diaz? Is there a professional baseball league that doesn't allow base stealing that I don't know about?

Do the Twins think they're going to find another team thats gonna eat half of Correas contract?

There is a market for Diaz, of course. And the Astros would have to get a veteran catcher they like in another deal to cover the position. Something could happen but that doesn't mean it will.

Yeah, so the net negative risk
Nah
Dealing Diaz about as likely as getting Correa at a significantly reduced salary
Both of which are much less likely than dealing Framber
I mean, how many Twine Palmers do we have?

Mason Miller and JP Sears traded to San Diego
Good. Glad to get Miller out of the division and not to someone who we are competing with.

Hell, we have about 11 on the current roster.

Good. I was upset at the thought of losing Twine Rollin.

I have no idea if that’s true. That guy covers the orioles but doesn’t look like he’s employed by an media outlet
But would be hysterical if it was real
