Perfect example: Perkins walks Hummel. Dubon comes up and swings at the first fricking pitch and flies out. Just an idiotic plate approach.

Dubon can’t play every day, and the same could be said about 6-7 other guys in the every day lineup.

Absolute cockshot on a tee hanging slider the Astros cleanup guy is late on and pops it weakly to right.
This is a more 2011 weekend than even 2011 was. Probably the worst product the Astros have fielded in a decade. Very demoralizing

Ryno is saying if we can do this for three more years we could make the playoffs in 2028

They need two bats, two starters, and a RHP bullpen piece.
Fortunately everything you listed is on the DL.
I’m not concerned about the bats. We should be getting Pena, Alvarez, and Jake back in short order.
Bullpen, mildly concerned but they’ve been overworked like a mofo with our starters refusing to go back 5.
Starting pitching, yes, I agree. I’ve seen the Zac Gallen talk. He’d be a great piece that could be a great fill for the future given his contract. That would mean Crane & Co would have to open the bank to resign him.

Peña, yeah. The other two, you must know something that I don’t.

Something we havent talked about but what if Yainer is traded? Brown mentioned we may have to trade off the MLB roster. Your mind goes to the depth of starting pitching we have coming or Chas.
We're all down on Yainer but just last year he hit .300 with 30 doubles, 16HR and drove in 80+. The year before .284 with 23 home runs. We know baseball teams very much have an "I can fix him" attitude. Idk, maybe we'd selling low.
But Caratini has been playing a lot and having some success as a LH. When Yordan comes back, that closes off his DH opportunities. You figure they might have some interest in keeping his LH bat in the lineup by starting him more often at catcher. If thats the case, Yainers time at C fades and theres not DH opportunities, is he more valuable as a trade piece? We've got Omar Narvaez stashed at AAA with extensive MLB experience. He'd be fine as a backup.
Is this a crazy idea?

Everything should be on the table at this point
Once Paredes and Walter went down
You can’t stay above water. We were holding out hope in a short series knowing we had Brown and Framber with Abreu and Hader
Well, Brown hasn’t thrown a pitch in the 6th inning since before we had Meyers in CF and Paredes at 3rd. The slipper has definitely slipped off and lodged into the Astros anal sphincter
Laughing off the return for Framber is definitely sticking your head in the ground. He would bring greater than Suarez and watch what that eventually turns out to be

Per Chandler, were interested in Suarez, Willi Castro, and would be in on Brandon Lowe (currently on the IL lol) if the Rays made him available
Olney says on Sunday Night Baseball we have interest in the mets excess of infielders. I have no idea who that includes.

Trade him for what? That would conclude that we’d resign Caratini

Baty, Vientos and Ronny Mauricio
If you trade Yainer you need to acquire two ML level catchers this winter. If they had more depth there I certainly wouldn’t be opposed but they don’t
Willi Castro is an ideal fit, and in their price range as far as what it will take to acquire

These two felt like the straw that broke the camel's back. They played above their heads for a long time, but they are probably done.

We're staying in the sewers, right?
