Altuve has been fine this season when he wasn't hurt. He started off like this to begin the season.

yep, he just hasn't had the HR pop, but who cares if they're winning and he's having multi-hit games

Another fantastic JV outing brings up something I've thought about... obviously, he had a fantastic decade with Detroit and more to come with the Stros, but would he enter the HOF as an Astro or Tiger?

After scoring 11 on Monday night they scored 3 and 4 the following 2 days again fiers and bassitt. Absolute garbage offense. 2 of those runs last night on a misplayed line drive that turned into a ITP HR.

Ryan Pressly

I would agree, but we don’t know how he’d handle that role. And we won’t because management won’t do that to osuna. But he’s leaking badly right now and has been like you said last night “for weeks”, like 8 of them. Go out and get someone’s closer (like a lockdown guy) and leave Pressly in the 8th and move osuna to the 7th.

They saw 7 pitches and swung at all of them.

I think that may say a lot about his struggles and how hitters attack him. He's known for his low WHIP. He pounds the zone. Perhaps he needs to focus more on pitching off the plate, especially early in counts.

I got a bunch of down votes for saying that yesterday. The dude is not good. He is very average.

I surly wasn’t one of them. He’s been off since his first blown save this year. He’s had decent performances and has saved some games but his dominance mantra is over. Like ryno said, he’s not scaring anyone anymore and he’s not fooling enough batters anymore either.

I'll go even further. Osuna would thrive more as an old school fireman than a traditional closer since he really knows how to pitch. He's not just a typical two-pitch reliever.

Not a bad idea. Could refocus him too.

The Astros won two of three (yes, it should have been a sweep). You’re gonna complain about a garbage offense after winning two of three against a good team chasing you in the standings? I hope you’re not this stupid and this is just part of your shtick.

I remember when Hinch did it for Giles to get him going. Brought him into a big 7th inning jam at the White Sox, and the headcase really thrived on the moment and started pitching well.

Speaking of thriving, check out this little bad arse in the stands today: LINK

Worth repeating. It was big to win 2/3 and absolutely should have been a sweep. I don't think Oakland is a legit contender but I didn't think they were all that great last year either and they were on our arse until the very end. So it's big to take the series from them.

I’ll just add that Pressly has as many blown saves as Osuna, in fewer opportunities.
