Sources inside the locker room have indicated that after the Padres series, the players decided it was time to do it their own way

The starting pitching might just be sexy

It really is amazing how great out starting pitching has been this year. And that's without Frambaw and Odorizzi. We're set up there for the next few years.

If only our bullpen wasn't horse, we'd definitely be the best team in the league IMO.

I’d very much like to complete this four game sweep.

The Red Sox were due for an adjustment to the mean and are going through a stretch like the Astros have on many occasions.

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, and this team can compete with anyone, but they're not winning big with the production they are presently getting from C and CF.

I feel better about the pen only due to the fact that when our starters are healthy, we will have better depth in the pen. And we won't need as much depth because the starters have been reaching 6-7 innings regularly.

We can likely overcome one of those 2 positions offensively, but both positions are liabilities at the plate and in the field, IMO.

When Brantley is back it's going to be time to seriously give a Brantley/Tucker/McCormick outfield a look.

It might not end up any better, but it's worth a look. ChAAAAs is batting under the Mendoza line, but his OPS is significantly higher than Straw.

You at least need to know more about your options before the trade deadline.

All you need to know about Straw is that they batted Robel Garcia above him last night. Straw’s RBI was the definition of luck.

1. Altuve, 2B
2. Diaz, SS
3. Bregman, 3B
4. Yed, DH
5. Yuli, 1B
6. Jones, LF
7. ChAAAAs, RF
8. Straw, CF
9. Stubbs, C

Correa and Ted get breathers. As it should be.

Welp. Dusty pretty much punted on this one. Benched two of our hottest hitters. Yuli is on a 4/32 slump, Bregman a 4/26 slump. Bottom of the lineup is entirely AAA filler.

I'm sure they'll be available to pinch hit.

Longtime reader (prior to joining site), first time poster. The Red Sox were not ready for their Frambering last night. I can’t keep track, but based on the lineup today, was this one ever winnable? Looking forward to occasionally posting with y’all and thanks for being a good source of info for me to keep up with the team/roster moves/etc over the last several years.

Yeah, I bet Odorizzi is excited about that lineup

How in the Hell can you rest Tucker right now?

Just pure manipulation of numbers to help come contract time.

Playing with division in the bag

Take our chances come playoff time

Like I said yesterday, I don’t think this is manager coordinated. Yes, Dusted is an idiot, but this nonsense has been going on long before him.

I doubt Dusty has *anything* to do with creating the daily lineup card. I think it is pushing the envelope if the organization leaves it up to Dusty without any assistance to find his way to the dugout in time for the games.

I believe the list of actions that the organization allows him to perform on his own are confined to:
1. pick out his own stupid fricking face mask.
2. put his stupid fricking face mask on without assistance.
3. change his depends.
4. pick out his own toothpick.

I am unconvinced of #3.
