Am I being too critical that I was off put by those clowns cackling and banging on the dugout rail for that shite hit while they're trying to avoid a complete game shut out by the 19-54 White Sox.

No, you’re getting clowned by a rookie pitcher on a shite team that has 26 outs on you.

I’ve held out as long as I can. Getting shutout by the motherfricking White Sox is the final straw. This is rock bottom. I am declaring the 2024 season over

Been there for the last two weeks. It’s over, man. I hope they sweep us or at the very least take 2 out of 3. Because we are getting swept by Baltimore. I don’t want this sad arse team being buyers at the deadline

They are all truly cocksuckers and assholes from owner to number 40 on the roster.

It's time to turn our attention to the minor leagues. The future starts now

Get rid of them a year too early rather than a year too late. It appears it’s actually too late for that though. Send Breggy, Framber, Chas, Jake, and any others who it makes sense to try to get anything of value for because the train has left the station.

Brutal to watch these SOBs consistently have non-competitive at bats and innings.

Jake
Peña
Singleton
Caratini
Cabbage
Chas

These are not quality major league hitters. Jury is out on Yainer whether he can stay in the strikezone enough to be worth a damn.

None of the guys above have proven track records as contributing hitters. Chas had a nice year last season, looking like a fluke. Pena seemed adequate as a rookie, hasn't followed it up. The rest haven't done anything and they're regulars in our lineup.

BAGWELLS ASTROS

Other team: 2H, 2R
Astros: 7H, 0R

This stupid meathead motherfricker would say, “that’s baseball”

I hate this team and org. Crane jumped the fricking shark and can’t see past his own nose since Manfred read him the riot act after the scandal. (I’m speculating on that)

There’s no other reason that makes sense in that this team and org was solely focused on analytic scouting and results and then we go to dumbass motherfrickers talking about back of the baseball card shite

You can’t have one and still do the other

Until he changes, I’m done with these fricks.

Good luck the rest of the season boys

Just think about what Cintron can do with him. Once he gets some major league coaching, we can cut that walk rate in half.

Yesterday's game did seem like the final straw for many. I don't think this is a good team waiting to turn things around. Just a mediocre team with some talent that's horribly mismanaged.

Crane was never comfortable with all of the credit Luhnow got for the team's success

It was never necessary to fire Luhnow over the scandal. It was done for the same reason Reid was let go. Crane paid for the success and unfortunately has the right to burn it down.

We are all witnesses

I think you are spot on. Click was definitely no Luhnow, but he would have been a very serviceable GM who had a plan to keep things going the best he could under the circumstances. Not all his moves worked out but he made more good than bad. Yet his firing (or nonrenewal) was one of the more bizarre front office changes I can remember and it’s easy to see why it happened in retrospect, for the same reason as Luhnow

Having a run of success like the Astros had is nearly impossible to do in modern pro sports, and I enjoyed the hell out of every moment of it. It was going to end soon regardless, but it ended prematurely because of Crane’s meddling. With the right moves they could have been better set up last year and avoided full implosion this year and next year (the Tucker/Framber contract year) which probably would have marked the end of this era.

Spot on. He’s ruining his legacy and goodwill with the fans, much like a famed 1st baseman of yesteryear.

We’ve been spoiled as fans and it would be totally fine to start a rebuild after such a great run. Actually kind of exciting. Instead we’re going to get an owner in denial trying to extend a window that’s already closed, and it’s gonna suck.

One silver lining at least is that Dana Brown is already showing his chops as a scouting wiz. Of course, we really need him to be one now.
