Hinch was asked about the decision to pitch to Sanchez.
Ummm. I guess I imagined Judge and Didi already standing on 2nd and 3rd. Not to mention, you set up the potential inning ending double play or the force at any base. His explanation makes no sense.

You bring up so many different run scoring scenarios when that happens. Hit by pitch, wild pitch, an error, sac fly. You can score without getting a hit with the bases loaded and 1 out.

I'm enjoying the Twitter pumpers by just observing now. They like to quote how good Giles was closing in Philly and last season in the second half.
Let's look at those times he was a good closer.
For the Phillies...the last place Phillies...AKA fake high-leverage (FHL) compared to a contending team.
And last year for us when we led the division by 10-20 games...more FHL.
Giles is talented. He is also a flake. Does anyone think flakes make championship closers?

Astros Could Become sellers if these problems can't be fixed. Morton and keuchel are FA
... Marwin... Gattis.. Restock the farm.

I don't question that aspect. You either have a closer or you don't. It's on Ludlol to supply Hinch with the correct personnel.

Good, I want my front row seats back after the 3rd inning

I just looked up the Fresno stats for tKing and Davis. LOL.
Is Ludlow waiting for them to hit .500 before they get to replace Gattis?

Unless he goes hitless, I bet he gets another 25 games

Gattis is pathetic at this point. No excuse to keep trotting him out there.

Sitting in heathrow waiting for my next flight... checked the box score and thought... "that's a DAT melt box score right there."
Checked this thread, not disappointed.

I don’t know why the rest of the staff won’t teach Giles how to use pine tar to up his spin rate.

They tried, he is stubborn and forgets to use it

Hinch should have put Sanchez on. End of story.

The analytics don't support loading the bases on purpose
