Jim Bowden just put out an article on The Athletic predicting the free agency contracts for the 4 SS coming up this offseason. He’s got Correa at 8yr/$184 fwiw

I like Jim on MLB Radio.

I think he might have gotten some money under the table from Crane.

Seager 10/355

I'm not sure it makes sense that Seager gets this number but Correa is below 200 million. They're fairly comparable from an age, production and injury standpoint.

Odds Correa gets a deal done by game time?

Slim and none and slim left with all of the money a while back.

Greatest Day of the Year! Should be a National holiday.

Good luck to all MLB fans except Dodgers and Cardinals fans.

Ranger's and Braves fans already in the DAT downvoting Opening Day? Not. Even. Surprised.

Astros and dodgers not comparable from an ownership and management standpoint.

In a string of procedural moves required to set their 26-man opening day roster, the Astros placed four pitchers on the injured list Thursday, but could welcome at least one back to the bullpen later this month.

Righthanders Austin Pruitt, Josh James and Andre Scrubb joined lefthander Framber Valdez on the 10-day injured list. All of their stints are retroactive to March 29. Neither Pruitt nor James will return to the team in April, general manager James Click said on Thursday. Pruitt underwent elbow surgery last September to repair a hairline fracture. A month later, James had surgery to repair a labral tear in his right hip. Both men reported to the Astros’ spring training facility within the last few weeks and are continuing their rehab.
