Altuve to the OF

It's a good idea if it's easier to find a productive 2B than outfielder. He fricking sucks at second base but would be just fine in LF. Jose loves to catch any ball within 200 feet of him in the air anyway.

My offseason priorities would be signing Springer and Brantley, and extending Correa

Did you forget what they already have tied up between Bregman, Altuve, Greinke, and Verlander?

I think it’s feasible they sign Springer to a solid deal, but it’ll have to be one of the two. I think you throw all effort at Springer because I don’t trust Correa to resign anyway. I think he eventually ends up in Miami with Jeter and the eventual money they will be spending.

Someone mentioned it earlier, I think Springer ends up with the Mets and when it’s time, I expect a long process when Correa is a FA that the Astros ultimately lose out on considering Miami has more appeal than Houston overall as far as optics go. Which I think is important to Correa.

It's feasible because Greinke and Verlander are going to come off the books.

And we are losing Reddick's black hole salary.

This guy is going to spend the rest of his career signing 1 year deals in the NL with whatever division isn't on our schedule.

Dude, grow up or frick off. You don’t like the Astros. We get it. And you’re a troll. Understood. We read your schtick loud and clear.

Most of us in here want to discuss the Astros’ next moves going forward without dealing with juvenile shite like you. So go somewhere else.

Do you mean in terms of lifestyle? The Astros spend 2 months in Florida every year for Spring training anyways and during the season you're traveling too much for that to matter.

Other than that Houston as a fan base and baseball city is clearly far superior to Miami.

I'd rather live in Miami all year than Houston. Now let's be honest until the winning starting the fan base was in shambles, if Miami started producing like they did this year they should be able to draw a crowd. Although the Marlins haven't ranked in the top 10 in attendance since the 98 season

Sign him. Trot him out there to start game 1, let him hear from the Houston faithful and then yank him after one pitch and DFA him.

Totally worth it!

I’m so thankful for the spark Correa provided this postseason. I still have long term concerns over his drive once that big deal gets inked.

I will be extremely interested to see how he plays next year. Obviously it is a contract year but does he bring that same energy that he brought this postseason?

Dude should have been signed to an extension two years ago when he was hurt and Houston could have gotten a discount like Bregman. Imagine having him through his age 32 season at 15-20 million instead of the 25+ it may cost

Did you read what I said? We spend 2 months in that area for Spring training every year. Our facility is just north of Miami in West Palm Beach. Aside from that, Correa could spend whatever amount he needs to travel wherever he wants, with ease. These guys are traveling like crazy during the offseason. A lot of them even own homes at spring training sites. They could leave for the offseason in November and spend November-March in Miami.

What are you talking about? The Houston fanbase has been good since the Astros came to Houston. There's a lot of history within our organization believe it or not.

You're comparing a team that didn't exist until the 90s to a franchise thats been around since the 60s and had a lot of greats come through the organization.

Comparing the Astros fandom to the Marlins is a joke. Its not even close.

Correa nor his agent would ever agree to that.

I was really pleased with our young pitchers this year and Ted finally found his footing, he did some great things this year with a lot to build on moving forward.

Really? There were several years the Astros couldn't sell out their stadium. Several years where the Astros finished in the bottom half of MLB I'm attendance. So let's not act like they've been the Cubs where even in shitty years they pack the stadium.

Also, who cares about two months when you can have 12 months. You mention the travel, but I'd rather relax at home in Miami rather than in the stone city of Houston. Let's just be honest about that, Houston the city itself doesn't have the appeal of Miami. So if I'm traveling and able to come home why not ony beach front property in Miami that I'm likely to buy being millionaire.
