As of right now, the team has only Altuve's new contract as committed salary on the books after the 2020 season.

That's something we have got to take seriously. Got to see what we're doing with Verlander, Cole, McHugh, etc. after the season, and try and possibly lock up Bregman, Correa, Springer, etc. It should be interesting to see what we do with so many players coming up in free agency in the next couple years.

The reversal might work as you claim, except there’s no precedence of Cora leaning on Hinch for input, and Cora beat Hinch using what he knew

Now, if you’re saying that I would feel the same way if Cora had AJ as his bench coach for ‘17, and AJ left to beat Houston in ‘18, then yes, but that’s some alternate reality shite. LOL

That was the premise of his statement, and not all together shocking.

Let’s not act like the Red Sox were a bad Team when he joined, plus add to the fact that Altuve and Correa missed a good bit of the season, and were clearly not healthy.

I don’t think Cora is any better of a Manager than Hinch, but I’m also of the opinion that managers don’t matter much, so take that for what’s its worth.

ETA: that series came down to the fact that their bullpen played better than ours, which in the regular season was flipped.

So when do we make our yearly Astros predictions? I think we should start something with predictions each year and chip in to get something for the winner.

I think we all “know” each other well enough by now to know most of us aren’t theives and will do something like this honestly. I’m sure a couple of you know my regular twitter by now since I’ve gotten a couple follows from the Afficinado account that are also LSU fans and have put two and two together.

Astrosbaw is more myth than one solitary message board poster, the sum of our hopes, our dreams and our fears. If he were a baseball player, he'd be a 7-foot left-handed knuckleball pitcher with a drinking solution.

last game of the season Yuli wants to pitch,,

Emulates Darvish in the mound as an apology, but the squinting causes him to miss the plate ONE TIME and loses the no-hitter and the perfect game with 2 outs in the 9th

Pretty damn strong to get that close to perfection while tipping your pitches.

True,

I wonder who will be emulating Marwin Gonzalez to break up the perfecto.

Could it be ... Marwin Gonzalez?
