That’s what pisses me off. Replay officials should use the slow mo replay and make what they think is the right call. Just saying call stands is a cop out

We need a legit catcher

As far as the actual rule, what happens if the fan reaches over the wall too in that situation? I can see how the argument can be made the fan made contact with Mookie before he went over the wall, though I don't think it can conclusively be said one way or the other. Does that matter? I'm ignorant on these rules.

You don't get fan interference when you go into the stands. So fricking what if the fan closed his glove.

Once the fielders glove goes over the wall into the stands the fans can do whatever the hell they want. He could chop it off with a damn machete and it still would not be interference. Obviously criminal but not interference. It’s not interference if the player has gone into the stands.

Look at white shirt old guy. He is clearly leaning over and his hands are even with the fan who made contact

Betts is 2 to 3 feet from the wall reaching back. Fans are up to the wall reaching forward. The more I see of it, the more I think they reached into the field of play to make initial contact.
