Pence is about to play his 12th major league season and will be 35 in April. It really feels like yesterday that he played his rookie season with us.

No Doubt. Pence has been really good MLB player. I'm saying KT could be HOF level if he reaches full Potential

He's not called Ted for nothing.

Pump the brakes please. Go Astros!

All of these guys have the physical attributes to become elite once you reach the professional level. Its between the ears that determines who goes into that next level. Mental toughness is the ability to forgive yourself and move on. players like AJ Reed struggle with that despite having all the talent in the world.

His upside is greater than pence. No guarantees but he could be elite.

Not saying Tucker isn’t going to be a good one, but beware of Ryno Hyperbole.

He also said Derek Fisher was a bust as soon as he was drafted and wanted Luhnow fired for drafting him. Even made another thread to the MSB to let everyone know what a mistake Luhnow was making.

Ryno

I caught legit wood in Academy when I opened the mlb app and saw the Tucker headline. First ab with the club and he goes yard... There’s another crown laying around here huh?

If there was anyone I wish the Astros could bring back next year to play the Beltran role, it has to be Pence. And its honestly quite possible. His contract with the Giants expires at the end of this season.

When did I say the Astros need a Beltran role? And where is the problem with having a solid veteran (if financially feasible) that I've never heard a player say anything bad about? Every clubhouse has a glue guy and Pence does a fantastic job of that, plus he was a fan favorite in Houston, and born in Texas..kinda makes sense that he would want to end his career chasing one more ring in a place he was loved.

We didn't even need beltran to play the beltran role. A back up catcher and Gattis at DH would have been far more productive.

And yet the Astros don’t have a ring without Beltran, the clubhouse guy who comes in early to set an example and to study a pitcher because he loves the game and understands the knowledge he has to offer.

And no I’m not saying Pence has anywhere close to the knowledge/skill that Beltran has and had in his prime

Someone took Kyle Tucker's nameplate above his locker and wrote the word "Ted." Tucker, who homered yesterday, has a swing reminiscent of Ted Williams.
