I’ve got bad news for all the MMA fighters lining up to fight YouTube boxer Jake Paul, particularly the ones still under contract to UFC.

Dana White has seen enough.

Especially after watching former UFC welterweight Ben Askren get knocked out during the Triller Fight Club main event last weekend in Atlanta, not long after heavyweight bruiser Frank Mir went down on points to veteran pugilist Steve Cunningham.

“Why don’t you go fight a fricking boxer?” White asked Yahoo Sports. “What the frick do these guys keep talking to UFC guys for? I’m gonna have to slap them with another fricking legal letter, these fricking idiots. Go talk to fricking boxers. What are you doing?”

Dana knows the answer to this. He'd get killed by a legitimate pro box and then the gig is up. He's no longer a draw.

In a boxing match? Jake Paul would get killed by a legitimate pro boxer

Or Dana can pay these guys what they are worth and they won't be tempted to pillow fight for these big bucks

Didn’t the last guy get like $500,000. Was he really not getting that much from the UFC?

He only fought 3 times in his whole “UFC career” losing 2-out-of-3

These low tier ufc fighters are giving them a bad name, lol.

Its like if a nba g leaguer or two way player gets crushed on the court and calls themselves a nba player. Weak.

Dana looking bad here tbh. If some of his lower/mid tier ufc guys want to go earn some legit money and exposure for a fight with a youtuber, let them have it.

Sure they can get paid money, but after they get knocked out by the youtuber, they will also get publicly shamed a bit. There are pros and cons. But ultimately, Dana needs to let these guys make their own decisions instead of lording over them like a dictator.

He does, but I get why. It's protecting the brand

They are under contract and it severely damaged the UFC brand. He’s 100% right.

If you arent under contract with the ufc and get the proper licensing per the stat youre fighting in Dana dosent have any reason to complain.
Dana hates the fact that Paul is making bank and he cant wet his beak.
