I think Hurley realizes his style is not likely to be as successful with NBA players
If he ever does want to try the NBA it will still be an option down the line and maybe he doesn't want to leave the east coast
nothing wrong with doing your due diligence and at least entertain it with the uncertainty of the college landscape
you can bet some of the bigger name schools will eventually come after him down the line again

You know the guy is going to be even more of a douche now that he can say he rejected big money from the Lakers.
He probably publicly entertained this whole offer for the recruiting.
"I love UCONN so much I rejected the Lakers"

I’m just glad I didn’t allow myself to believe this would happen

What an absolute trainwreck the lakers have become.

No coach worth a crap who cares about their career will risk it on over the hill Lebron.

Hey LOLaker fans, remember when the Celtics lured the best college coach in the game to Boston and now he’s the NBA executive of the year?
Your poverty franchise couldn’t do the same.

In what way.
Championship four years ago?
Conference Finals last year?
Two all NBA players this year?
They have had some subpar coaches, but overall they have been fine.

You could probably make a similar argument for Connecticut.
Also state income taxes paid in each state he coaches a game, I believe. But I'd go with the pros vs college argument of lifestyle change, temperament of athletes, etc.

For your sake, here’s to hoping that 2-0 lead isn’t blown.

In what way.
Aside from the Mickey Mouse ring (that no one respects as legitimate) the LOLakers have missed the playoffs or been in the play in for 11 straight years dating back to Kobe, Dwight, and Steve Nash in 2013.
Coach after coach is fired and there’s no accountability in the organization. It’s run poorly from the top down to the players.
To make matters worse, now they are rejected by a college coach.

The Celtics would have to be a perennial play in tournament team or miss the playoffs for a decade to sink to the LOLakers level.

Where is WCA at? Does him turning the “flagship” lakers down also upstage the finals?
