El Mago made that ball disappear. This is going to be a long fricking season.

When the frick did Mitch Trubisky start playing baseball?

Laughing like Aaron Brooks when he throws the ball backwards.

Sigh...yup.
But hey, Ricketts liked our lineup before the season. I remember thinking "that makes one of us".

Runner would have been out if he were trying to reach the concession stand safely.

Hey guys, remember 2016, I certainly do. Buy Cubs tickets!
Hi, I'm Tom Ricketts, chairman of the Chicago Cubs. I've been a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs if you haven't heard as I met my wife in the bleachers and lived in an expensive apartment in Wrigleyville. You may think to yourself: Tom, you got all that sweet TV revenue now, why not spend a little extra cash? Well, I would but you need to buy more Cubs tickets now that Wrigley is opened up....well, one-quarter of the way.
Don't fret as you just might be able to get into Wrigley and have a day at the park in the friendly confines. Buy Cubs tickets, watch the Marquee network. frick it, come to Wrigley and watch Marquee...if you can. Buy Cubs tickets! It is an experience to share with the family.
So don't fret Cubs fans, 2016 was not that long ago and we can still revel in that magical 2016 season by buying the blu-ray set on Amazon after you purchased Cubs tickets.

Holy shite! Dude needs to lay off the ballpark popcorn between innings.

Yep, we keep trotting mostly the same core out there with the same homer or nothing approach and expecting different results. It's now on the 4th year of this offensive bottleneck. It's not changing...could still compete for the Central as the Central is mediocre but this core can't compete with the best teams as constructed.
Heck they replace Schwarber with a clone of Schwarber and Nico was tearing it up in Spring and we send him down to get consistent AB's while giving those to Bote who is batting .098.
As much as I love that core of guys, time to blow it up and get some value while you still can.

The time has passed to get good value. Just about all of them are in a walk year. I'm starting to feel better and better that they didn’t give any of these guys big, long-term contracts though. This team could look very different next year.

Totally nailed it.
This extended offensive bullshite is either a) guys who are just not that good, b) guys who will not accept coaching, c) shitty coaches, d) really good pitching, e) some fricking voodoo.
If I had to guess I'd say it's a combination of A and B, with a bit of E mixed in.
