They have stockpiled plenty of really good talent from the Bayou Region. They have played a solid schedule playing up a lot. They are the Real Deal and Easily the Best Team in SE La. If they dont win a State Title this year then they may never!

Most schools in Louisiana

Must be a Southwest LA thing. Never seen it here. Prior to last year, it was always a 3 game set with one game on Thursday or Friday at one location and a Saturday double header at the other school.

Agreed. They’ve had great regular seasons in the past and have always fallen short in the playoffs.

They play 2 games against St. Charles this weekend. Should be a test.

I know North Louisiana teams do it. District 2-2a has a district tournament where maybe the bigger classifications don’t do that.

My school (small private school) played them years ago. They were very good then. You could tell even back then that they were building an impressive program. Quite a few Delgado/BRCC type guys on the team.

Teuton is a good coach and has these kids with CCA and then some through the summer with Southland Hogs.

And Butch Theriot joined the staff this year who was AD and baseball coach at Houma Christian for a long time. He’s a great guy too!

I think CCA has a great shot at ending the season unblemished, only team I thought on schedule that could beat them would be SCC but after looking how SCC threw there ace on thursday night and not throw him at CCA, I see them having a great chance at bringing home the throphy this season with a 0 in the loss column.

Honestly most teams did that this year. Take the loss and 30plus points to win another game u should win

Only 4 district games? That’s weird, why only 4 games total?

Especially in the smaller classifications, if a good team had to play everyone in their district, it would kill their power ratings, even if they went undefeated.

CCA seems to be a legit team. They beat Curtis, Erath, Destrehan and St Charles Catholic pretty handily. Their opponents I think scored a total of 22 combined runs in their 32 wins. That’s pretty impressive.

no its a smaller school thing. its not most districts and its not all smaller ones but the 1 game and end of season tournament is more popular in the 3a and below districts
