No. She would beat me pretty badly.
Posted on 4/4/12 at 3:33 pm to diddydirtyAubie
Yea I think I could take her.
Posted on 4/4/12 at 3:34 pm to auzach91
i'm willing to say nobody in this thread could beat her and she would rub her stank all over your face.

There are two dynamics going on here.
1. People who played basketball realize the incredible gap between men and women basketball. I mean it isn't even close. Now Griner would be a different story she is 6'8. But if Chris Paul at 6'0 can drive to the hole in the NBA against 7 footers then there is a possibility that you could score on a 6'8" girl even going to the hole.
I would say that the Louisiana 1A state guys champions would beat Baylor this year and every year. There is just such a large gap in talent.
2. Griner's talent, she is obviously very talented, and I imagine after that much work her footwork and technique is probably just as good as a Highschool male athlete. So it would come down to athleticism vs. height.
The Notre Dame coach compared her to a man because that is how much talent gap there is between men and women's basketball.

Nobody on TD could beat her in 1 on 1 I read the first post and laugh at anyone that thinks they could. You couldn't get a shot off
I am 6'6 and played the 3 in college, and I have legit post game. If I was in shape, I would eat her lunch. She is good, but I can shoot, and I would push her around in the paint. She is a 6'8 woman, not a 6'8 man.

Intramural sports doesn't count as playing the 3 in college.

is. you people are delusional if you think you would beat Griner one on one
Do yall watch her play at all? When she's jockying for position down low, she's getting pushed all over the place. anyone with any post defense skills could keep her from getting anywhere inside 8-15 feet from the goal. She's not that quick either.

I would lose a first to twenty match by twenty points.

Dammit, let's just go with the line of thinking that the team doctors have checked her oil and confirmed she's feMALE.

Why can't you name the said D-2 school?
because D-2 basketball is shitty. They have HS teams that can beat D-2 teams. 20 people show up to watch that bullshite. Ive played in mens leagues more exciting.

i dont know if he played at college or on what level, but ive played with him before(kracka). He's actually that tall and fairly skilled. He could prob take her.
the question is, why isn't Pistol2K or HammondTiger playing in the NBA or at least the DLeague? Who would win this colossal matchup one on one?

Played NAIA for one year, and Nicholls for another.

Keep in mind I would have to be in shape to be able to take her. I doubt in my shape now, or when we played together could I take her. Well maybe i could. We are talking half court one on one. frick it. I am taking her.

i know there are over 300 division 1 schools that play basketball. And if you can't land a scholarship to play at one of them, generally you aren't very good.
you're obviously going to talk it up because you played there. But you wont even name the school or how good of a player you were. You are 6'4", you were probably the teams center

Part of it is just a little self confidence. Second I knew pretty much that whole team that played at la tech, and when I was there, they were decent, I would say a playoff 3a team.

No I am a 5'9" white guy and she is 6'8" 210 pound man child.... Doubt I could beat her and doubt many in here could as well. Hell doesn't she practice with the men's team as well?

There are 10,200 d1 football players and 4000 d1 basketball players. So you might want to rethink that a little.

There are 22 starting spots on a football team (more if you want to include special teams, gunners, and 3rd down backs). There are only 5 starting spots on a basketball team.
