Something with cartilage in his shoulder. He was a couple swings away from never playing again.

If we're playing from the tips with Tour greens, he'd probably still beat us.

Now if I could pick the course, get to play the whites and make Tiger play the tips, I think even my shitty foursome would have a chance

That would be fairly easy for any five guys with a handicap between 9-12-15 imo

In most scrambles that ive played 12-14 under is close to the average. Tiger would be hard pressed to pull that off

Yes, I think we'd average about a 64 on a PGA course.

Whatever course it is down there, Isleworth was just the first one that came to mind

5 years ago in a 5 man scramble in Florida we shot -17, but it was not anything near a PGA course. I think if it was my florida friends we could hang, my friends here not so much

i don't think anyone has mentiond that the pga guys are playing past the tips on a average course and i can't speak for everyone but we play one up from the tips. so that would be about 50 yards difference.

Me and a buddy of equal talent could beat tiger 5/10 with our best ball. Come on guys,, tiger is a great player but he is not superhuman. Two better than scratch golfers playing a best ball will shoot around 65 ..... Tiger is not averaging 65

How many players on here are sub-scratch golfers...5 maybe 6?? That leaves a lot of players out there

Could win some holes possibly (lucky putt or two to pull it off), but beat - no way. The pros play by actual rules and shite, not roll the ball around until it is sitting up on good grass, etc.

...straight up against Tiger Woods?

You'd be up until the last hole, then Tiger would bet you double or nothing that he'd win, you'd take it with conditions that he didn't tee his ball up.....

Could you win a hole in one round playing in a scramble against one of the undisputed greatest players ever, with 5 of your golfing buddies?
One hole? Yes, without a doubt. Might be able to beat him. Me and 5 of my buddies in a normal scramble = 16-18 under. Me and 5 of my buddies on a tour set up playing from the tips, probably 6-9 under.

If he drank beer for beer and shot for shot with me I could beat him straight up.

In a scramble yes no question. In a low ball, that would be a better match. It would be close.
