They still need one or two crazy billionaires to cover the buyout plus the going rate for a new coach. That's a lot of money for Awe shucks, golly gee, Lil' Ol' Clembson - Who'd a thunk it?

They’d pay him that either way

No, $57 million buyout. Sunk cost

I do not know if Clemson has the support to eat that.

At $50+ million on buyout I doubt it. Instead of spending the money to fire him they should throw in $15 mil - $20 mil per for the next 3 years for NIL and see what he can pull in to compete.

If he quits, he will owe 3 million to them.

Just because of what he's accomplished there, I think they may allow him to finish the year, but he would have already been informed that this is his final season.

All things to be negotiated. He wouldn’t quit and they wouldn’t fire him. He’d retire or step down with an agreement. He still gets his money and doesn’t get fired mid season.

WTF was that 4th down play? Need a yard and throw it 30+ downfield. Good job Bill.

I may have spoken too soon. Clemson scored with a minute left. UNC could come back.
