They’ve officially killed college football. It’s dead. Bowl season used to be one of the greatest weeks of the year, home and watching football. Used to enjoy it so much But 95% of the games are now unwatchable. Never been a huge NFL fan, and last night reminded me why. The corruption in that league is just blatant. I’ll have the games on Monday and I’m sure I’ll watch most the NFL playoffs, but man they are making it easier and easier to turn that shite off and find something else to do.

How much less could you care?

At least you care enough to make a stupid thread like this. I wish guys like you would care a little less and not spam the board with this crap as though you had some new and thought-provoking realization that the other 25 threads didn't already cover.

It’s more incompetence than corruption imo
The NFL product is bad.
College Football is allowing itself to become College Basketball because of the one and done nature of NIL/ Portal.
Bowl games have been atrocious
It’s a crisis for sure but I’m not sure they see it that way for some reason

It’s a huge crisis but you can’t condemn it because then you are attacking the players. The former players down to almost a man support all of this. If you introduce any logic or reasoning they attack you for not caring about the athletes. When you let the athletes run stuff, the product suffers. Look at the NBA.

I saw Whitlock with Marshall Faulk and Sapp and they basically said players should be able to decide where they go pro, Whitlock then said ok, I’m a bears fan and no one wants to come here, I’ll stop watching and the team suffers and it hurts the league. The two geniuses response was nah, it will be ok. These guys are athletes, not economists or strategists.

I’ve watched some pretty decent bowl games. No rooting or betting interest, just good, competitive games.

The playoffs will save it.

The NCAA needs to step in and eliminate the bowls.

A good plan would be to eliminate 5 bowl games each year until there are about 8-10 of them left.

Bowl tie-ins need to be eliminated as well.

If 12 teams make the playoffs and we have 20 teams going to the 10 bowls, that equates to 32 teams in the postseason and it would revert back to being special and having some relevance.

You're exactly right. It's ruined. The Bill Shakespeare guys can jump all over your word usage but watching the maxi pad bowl with 8000 people isn't what I grew up with and loved
