For doing it the right way. They are true champions. This is a much more legit championship than the Lebron’s superteams. The superteam culture that Lebron created is pathetic.

Yea, because coming back from a 3-1 deficit, something that had NEVER been done...EVER in the history of the NBA...against the greatest regular season team in the HISTORY of the NBA (73-9) and winning a title for a city that hadn't won a championship in 64 years is much less legit...

This board never fails

It was refreshing watching Giannis win by staying, but Lebron didn't really start the super team movement.

You really have to look at the Garnet, Pierce, and Allen big 3 as the group that started it all.

100%...One could even argue it was Detroit and San Antonio before them. Billups/Hamilton/Prince and Robinson/Duncan/Ginobili/Parker

A title is a title Yea, but all titles are not equal.

Titles are lauded or not based on who the team had to beat to get it. When it comes to path and who the bucks had to beat to get the title, this is maybe the least impressive one that I have seen. They were done in 5 if BKN had even a modicum of health.

Nonetheless, congrats to the Bucks.

Neither of those were super teams.

A team built organically or thru drafts has never been called a super teams.

Super team refers to the way a team is formed. It’s when guys who are already all stars get together and team up.

Pretty sure the Spurs drafted all these guys; they didn't collude in the offseason to time their contracts and such.

No i get that and i agree. I was just pointing out that it was the dominance of San Antonio, Detroit and Boston at the time that led to the creation of "super teams".

Just pointing out the FACT...that every great team in the history of the NBA has always had a "big 3". Whether it was drafted or through FA. LeBron didnt start super team culture. That is a fact. I hate that yall are making me defend LeBron. lol

Drafting a "super team" is fine. Is when 4 all stars decide to all leave for 1 city that's annoying.

Mostly home grown as well.

I do agree the Celtics big 3 was more of a super team trend before LeBron joined Miami.

The term ‘super team’ doesn’t just refer to a stacked lineup. It’s referring to how said lineup was formed. Nobody would ever call the Spurs a ‘super team’ based on that definition. That is reserved for the Heat, Durant-Warriors, Lakers when they added Malone and Payton, Celtics Big 3, and current Nets.

Don't forget the non-title winning 2003 Lakers who added Gary Payton and Karl Malone to a roster that featured Shaq and Kobe

They lost in the finals to the Pistons
