Complaining about getting your signs stolen in baseball...fair or foul?

Jamie Moyer is accusing Chipper Jones of stealing signs...Chipper's response

“I mean, dude, we don’t need signs, especially for him. I mean, my goodness, every pitch is 78. Come on.”

When I played, stealing signs and preventing your signs from being stolen was just a part of the game. We never cried about it. We took pride in disguising our signs.

Is this another example of wussification in America or does Moyer have a legitimate gripe?

Update...Moyer called Chipper Jones out during game.

It just reaffirms that Moyer is a huge flaming vagina.

He has a legit gripe in the internal sense, with his catcher and/or manager

If teams legitimately tried to steal signs, they could do easily. You can figure out a team's signs in an afternoon. In order to make them "unstealable", they'd be too complex to use. There has always been an agreement not to steal signs, provided a team makes a token effort to hide them.

I will note that Chipper didn't actually deny stealing signs in that quote.

Eh...I don't like it necessarily but it's part of the game.

Bad arse response by Chipper though

Yes, but what kind of woman complains about it publicly. The act of publicly complaining about it makes him a huge vagina.

And I agree, Chipper's comment was great.

You don't complain. You put one up and in on the next batter after you catch the team stealing your signs; however, Moyer doesn't throw hard enough to do that.

People who have played with Moyer have told me how much of a doucher he is. This confirms it.

And Moyer is a huge vag for publicly bitching about it

I wouldn't call him that. Seems like a good guy. Dude runs several camps to help children with close family members who have passed.

Did Moyer publicly bitch about it or did he just step off the mound and mouth off to Chipper?

It is part of the game, nothing wrong at all. You can either change signs or hit the next guy and move on.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Yeah, if you keep the same set of signs throughout the game, they can possibly be stolen.

That's why you change the signs up throughout the game. We'd change the indicator every inning. That throws off anybody trying to steal your signs. Point blank.

Didn't know they had a gentlemen's agreement not to steal signs

Foul. If your signs are easy enough to get stolen, then you deserve it. I personally never peeked at signs as a hitter, but I steal the shite out of the other team's 3rd base coaches signs.
