Actually Rummel is really focused on developing Christian young men hence the choice of elevating a member of the Religion Dept to principal. You know what a Catholic school’s main focus should be.

Maybe. I’ve heard they’ve been trying to go the St. Paul’s route by being a smaller, more selective Catholic high school.
Whether that’s by choice or design is debatable. Either way, I hope it works out long-term.

Oh please. The main focus is making money, like all organized religions. Rummel has turned into John Curtis, with a bigger enrollment, and kids who can actually read.

Let me guess, he went to Chalmette?
We had a Rummel transfer who was very talented but his mom was a piece of work on social media. He then went to Texas for his senior year and played FCS ball

So you don’t think BM, Jesuit, HC, DLS, etc do the same thing? Actually Jesuit probably gives the most tuition assistance to low income folks mainly bc they have the most to give based on their endowment.

I’m sure they do. I just don’t remember seeing as many of those coaches around JPRD parks growing up, as I do Rummel and Curtis.

Coach Manale was a main stay at Harrell during his DLS days……he just can’t get the same numbers at Jesuit!
Every Catholic league team has people at ball games…..even at Christian Brothers and other middle school games throughout the city…..outside of the parks
You need to get out more.

Coach Manale also came through the ranks as a coach in JPRD so I’m sure he is very much aware of the talent coming through. Also like Fed Tiger said, all the schools keep an eye on the talent at the playgrounds. I mean their jobs depend on it.

You need to get out more.
His first year there he got some in, most didn't last long.
The list of kids that some at Jesuit wanted in or actually got in but did not last long is pretty distinguished... Ask your self if say Derrius Guice show up at Carrolton and Banks - had they made exceptions to let him in how long would he have lasted?
