This easily lifts Rummel into the top tier of this district this year. QB was the only weak spot. Lot of tough games for everyone in this district but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them win it. Of course they could also finish 5th.

Sucks for whoever thought he was starting QB and he just got replaced. But toughen up kid. We not running a school here. Oh. Never mind

His ineligibility case and ruling in Texas was a circus, and no one involved could explain why he was ruled ineligible.

It was determined that the transfer was for athletic purposes. It’s not that complicated

Pretty sure he was a WR first playing QB out of necessity.

How Rummel was in that position in the first place is pretty confusing. Imagine going into August thinking you have some athlete playing quarterback only to get a UGA commit to play the position a week later I bet Monica is thrilled.

Yeah I’d say that kid going back to WR is more happy than anyone else. He’s gonna be getting balls thrown to him by a Georgia commit

Ken Trahan sounded more excited than Colton in that interview........

Ken is a Rummel grad who always tries to pump up the school any way he can. Whenever there’s an opportunity to put out a positive article on CCSports, he does.

You can especially tell on the radio games in the Fall too. He gets into sometimes with Phil Greco or whoever else is the Rummel color commentator he doesn’t agree with on air lol

Why because we’re not Ruston or Zachary? Every time people say they feel sorry for us, that it’s unfair we’re in this district, my takeaway is that they wouldn’t be saying that about the elite nonselect teams.

I’m just happy he isn’t at Holy Cross…

Has any Catholic League QB ever gone on to a major Power 4 program?

Good call. Lee was at Tulane for a few years before transferring to Nebraska.

Where’s John Johnson at?

Listed as a QB on West Virginia’s roster but was recruited as an athlete. Curious to see what he end’s up playing.

Crazy that we have to go this far back in time to find a Catholic League QB playing major college ball.

Found another one:

Damian Williams - 2013 - Rummel to Mississippi State

Would Ruston or Zachary be who they are if they had half a dozen private schools pulling kids from their schools?

It’s crazy how many great athletes the Catholic League has produced but very few at QB
