Crescent City Sports

Transferring in for senior year. He was having eligibility issues in Texas. John Curtis was on the radar a couple years ago, but they've got a very capable Junior starting year 2 under JTs system.

Was Rummel’s weakest spot on offense, makes perfect sense. Hope it works out well for the kid and Rummel.

His ineligibility case and ruling in Texas was a circus, and no one involved could explain why he was ruled ineligible.

The family settled in Flower Mound while the dad coached for the Cowboys. The family remained in DFW until Colton could finish HS after Doug followed Kellen Moore to Philadelphia, then the Saints.

Colton missed most of last season with injuries, then unexpectedly transferred to Denton Ryan this past Spring. The coach for Flower Mound Marcus was mad he lost his QB, and immediately filed a complaint, so the UIL investigated the complaint.

The investigation revealed everything was on the up and up. His old coach at Flower Mound even testified on Colton’s behalf. Understandably the coach had suspicions at the time of the transfer, but everything was proper and he now supported Colton’s decision and wanted his eligibility restored.

Evidently once a complaint is filed in Texas it is nearly impossible to overturn. Again, everyone involved at both schools fully supported his transfer once the dust settled, but the original complaint that simply requested an investigation overruled everything else.

I can't imagine a Nussmeier being a good fit in JC's offense.

The only time that has been granted is very legit circumstances that kept a kid out of school all year. And the 19 year old age before x date - several people have gone to court over the years and that rule is undefeated

Guess his NIL check cleared…

I guess this kid isn’t getting a Rummel Gatorade scholarship as dad can afford tuition!

Rummel has the best 1-2 RB combo in the state. Both will play college ball. One is committed to Tulane currently. QB was their weakest position by quite a bit.

They had to convert a WR to QB last year, a WR who will play that position at the college level. I am sure he is very happy today.

Week 1. Knox Kiffin vs Colton nussmeier at UHigh. Phenomenal matchup upcoming.

Is Sully the starter at Jesuit? Karr QB likely can be more of a threat than him…..

He might be but I heard they had a battle for Karr’s QB position so whoever they have will be unproven whereas we’ve heard of Sully before, we’ve heard of Breez Wilson before
