It's becoming increasingly clear that when you hear a Cavs veteran talk about younger players not knowing their role, or knowing how to win, or what to do on the court, they mean Sexton. Throughout the organization, the line on Sexton is that he does not 'know how to play.'
Oh so he didn't actually say it, it was "implied".
quote:
And after their shitty start that year all the vets and the organization threw Sexton under the bus for their woes. Talk about being unprofessional. You're supposed to be the damn vets that hold the team together. Not the rook who's 8 games into his career.
Sure, vets should be less openly critical, but where is the evidence they explicitly called out Sexton and none of this "well it was implied" bullshite.

Also Sexton is already a better player than Love ever was...

I'm actually not pulling that out of my arse. Sexton has always stayed away from social media, even in his time at Alabama. He's stated in multiple interviews going back years that someone else, I think his brother, runs his social media accounts. Is it that hard to believe? And I mean you're the one to bring up unprofessionalism. How unprofessional is being a 10+year vet and blaming all your team's in-game and cultural problems on a 19-20 year old kid in his first 10 games ever?

Are you actually gonna provide proof of what you’re saying or do you think if you say it enough it becomes fact?

In on the record commentary, time and again, veterans like Tristan Thompson have made clear there is a divide between the Cavs' holdover vets from the LeBron glory years — like him, Smith, Frye, and Korver (Tristan didn't mention Love, who's gone from the team after foot surgery) — and the team's mostly unnamed younger players.
The part of the article you didn't fricking read. Does "in on the record commentary" sound like implying to you? They have "made clear" there is a divide between Lebron's sons and the team's "mostly unnamed younger players." Throughout the organization "the line on Sexton is that he 'doesn't know how to play.'" What part of that sounds like implies? That sounds like explicitly calling out Sexton 10 games into his career. You tell me who's unprofessional

I ask how old are you because their was a time when kevin love was an mvp candidate who was universally known as the most underrated nba player.
He was an mvp candidate that never really got looked at as an mvp candidate. If that makes sense

So there's a verified Twitter account and you say that's not him because of a quote he made years ago about not being on social media? You have no proof of this. You think he doesn't know what's being posted on his own account anyways?

I'd post a couple interviews but you wouldn't listen, just like you won't read any article. Sexton didn't have social media at Alabama, that's provable. He's stated multiple times that he is not really interested in social media. It also could be an inside joke between the two, who knows they've seemed pretty amenable recently. But for you to jump straight to hating on Sexton for his unprofessionalism, you'd have to completely forget the way he was treated his rookie year. As a scapegoat of the organization after Lebron left them. Very tough for a rook to go through, and not his fault at all being 8-10 games into his career.

Genuinely don't know what was said. I have a hard time thinking it was anything egregious.
Wait...
You didn't know the entire context but you went out there and played the race card anyway?
And oh yeah, but before I rush to judgment on the white guy, I want to know all the facts.
Your words, not mine.

I watched the NBA back then. I remember him as a high stat performer on a terrible team. For how great he was, during his best season he was 6th in MVP voting. Never got All-NBA first team. In his best career year MVP wise, his team was 5th in his division and boasted a fantastic record of 26-40.

You don't know what the context is. The poster whodat was speculating that's the context which dates back to Collin Sexton's rookie year. The only context we have is a single liked tweet. You don't know if they ever resolved the alleged public jabs or not.

Again, the only fact we have is a single liked tweet.

Collin doesn't run his social media accounts. His brother does.

I realized they were bad in Minnesota, but we are comparing him to sexton, who's on the same team now and has always been on a team as bad as Minnesota was with love.
So you think that sexton is better this year then love was during the season where he finished 6th in the mvp vote?
Cuz that's what you are saying when you say hes better then love ever was

Maybe that's not necessarily true that he's "better than he ever was" yet. But that's my hyperbolic response to y'alls hyperbolic reaction to a liked tweet. Acting like Love was some kind of gamechanger his whole career is nonsense

That doesn't actually say anything about Kevin Love there other than he was injured.
