I would think if Auburn fights back to the regional final, they’d want to have to beat Milwaukee twice and not UCF.

Absolutely. UCF might could find a few quality arms to slow Auburn down, but I don't think Milwaukee can cover 18 innings over 2 games.

I find it amazing that Milwaukee could make the super-regionals and potentially Omaha with a losing record.

If they finish this, win tomorrow and then sweep the Supers they would be in Omaha with a 30-31 record.

The offense is just bizarre.

It’s like the Brewers snuck into the uniforms.

So Ole Miss is tracking to host them in the Supers?

Correct.

And in other action, Miami pitchers gave up 22 runs to Florida and used 9 pitchers who combined to throw 215 pitches over 8 innings. 111 strikes, 104 balls.

It was very kind of Jay Johnson to lend Miami our pitching staff for the weekend.

Florida hit 5 home runs in the 8th inning. It was like watching batting practice.

Not sure if I was watching live or not, but to end NC State's season on a batter timer violation seemed bullshitty to me. They weren't likely to pull off the miracle anyway, but damn.

And used two pitchers to do it. In one inning.

The umpire has to make the call. The catcher is standing up and pointing at the clock. How are you going to walk over and tell the Auburn dugout, "I know the batter wasn't ready to hit in time, but I'm just not going to call it in the 9th inning." Good luck with that.

One was bullshite, the other was a valid rule of the game.
