Reddick, Crawford and Rivers aren't untouchable but you aren't going to get much for any of them in a trade

Yeah that's kind of how I feel
As far as adding another player to Paul and Griffin PG13 makes the most sense out of players that are "available", but they don't really have the assets to trade for him and would have to get really creative to open the cap space, while also hoping he doesn't get dealt to a team he wants to resign with this summer
I think axing Doc and hiring a real GM and a coach that could maybe take them to the next level makes the most sense. And pray like hell Griffin can finally stay healthy

I heard today that they are likely to sign extensions, but they will also likely take visits. And who knows what will happen if you get someone like CP3 in front of Pop or Griffin in front of Boston execs...
CP3 is going to make a show of the process and have no intention on signing anywhere but the clippers.

five-year deal for $205 million
$41M per year for an aging point guard who hasn't made it past the 2nd round?

With the pay increases to CP3 and Griffin would they be able to offer anything over the MLE even if they were able to unload Rivers and Crawford?
Posted on 5/1/17 at 3:41 pm to RedRifle
I would do it, just trade them later.

If they pay CPFlop, Blake, and Reddick, then the luxury tax number is going be insane due to being repeaters. Something like $90 to $95 million if I remember correctly

Reddick in a unrestricted free agent.
Crawford and Rivers are under contract for the next two seasons @ a combined $ 53 million. Crawford $29 million & Rivers $24 million. Not sure what else you would have to give up to get someone to take those contracts.

They should have traded their first round pick with Crawford to a trash team for an expiring this season so they'd have a little space. They'll have to get creative now.

Who are you gonna get to replace them though and the Clippers will go back to being irrelevant in no time.

They just need a couple pieces to be legit contenders.
If they re-sign Griffin and Paul to max contracts, how do you expect them to add pieces? Their only assets will be Paul, Griffin, and Jordan, and those 3 players will take up 90% of your cap space. They still have Crawford and Rivers signed for a combined 25 mil next season, too. Good luck unloading those contracts

Paul and Griffin need to take less if they wanna win a title for the clips. Like DWade, Bosh, and Bron did in Miami.

Reddick is not worth more than 8 a year. Defensive liability, streaky shooter. Paul simply is very good not great. The great ones would not shoot like crap and lose game seven at home. Griffin is a very good player but can't carry a team. Injury prone. Trade him for a top 5 draft pick and be done. Then go get Paul George.

Committing $76 million yearly to two guys who have struggled to stay healthy and even when they have been together haven't gotten your team out of the 2nd round.
Its not my money but If I were Ballmer I wouldn't want that massive payroll + the absurd tax payments for a team that isn't a contender and is 2nd in their own city in terms of fan support
The second Chris and Blake walk out that door the Clippers fade back into irrelevance again. The Lakers have younger talent with more around the corner and a legit shot at free agents. If you're SB, you pay that bill and enjoy your 30 seconds on ESPN every game.

Which is why they should get rid of DeAndre Jordan.
Just signed him to a big deal.
