Hi ho, Silver, bring them home.

If they aren’t being broadcast in China, the games don’t need to be played in China.

What most folks do not know. Because the anally poisoned media does not report it. Is that when something like this happens the ChinaComms DEMAND certain actions and words so that we are allowed to do business with them.

We are already starting a slow process of disengaging as many companies are in the process of moving to places like Thailand.

I say we tell China to put their best 11 players against our best 11 and if your guys win we will apologize.

If the Pels didn’t just get a great front office, I would take Morey in a second if he got canned over this.

Forcing Morey out will likely cripple the Rockets for years.

Disagree. The top 4 player are locked up for the next four seasons. They can let harden be the gm and they will contend as long as harden in in his prime.

if morey is forced out it will be due to the NBA not just the rockets, they'll make him resign and tell him to say sorry. He wouldn't get another nba GM gig even if teams want to sing him. Sacrificial lamb.
But right now he holds the cards.

Fertita is already screwing with the on court product through demands that the team cut salary and through screwing with Dantoni and his assistants.

If Fertita stays while Morey goes, they may still have stars but they will not have a good supporting cast and they will likely lose their coaching staff.

Yea morey is out of the nba for a long time/forever if he gets fired over this. Any team that hires him would restart this whole issue and would likely be banned in china as well.

The NBA won't force Morey out, it would be a horrible look. Much worse than the first statement released by the NBA.

Silver has released more comments on the situation.

Hopefully the way that I posted those images works.

The main reason being China-banned is bad for Houston is that they are the Lakers of China thanks to Yao playing for them.

Most other teams aren’t hurt nearly as much by China throwing a shite fit.

Jeff was run off bc he cost the team the golden state series.he did a great job in general but was horrendous in the biggest game and series of the season.

China needs to be brought down a notch. They are easily the most nationalistic industrialized country on the planet with the less diversity. You would think more libs would be screaming about the human rights violations, pollution abuses & the lack of individual freedoms, religious and personal.

Is anyone really surprised by this honestly? It's always about money.

Problem is that no one wants to step up against them because they have potentially the world’s largest markets thanks to having well over 1 billion people living there.

I think positioning the league strongly in India helps get the point across, however.

You would think, but here’s he thing. The Chinese government doesn’t give a shite what outside pressures, morals, Twitter mob, or environmentalist say. Because of this, none of their protests, Twitter movements, or boycotts really have any impact, unlike here where people are allowed to have a voice and allowed to debate.

This is why people yell at the US, we listen and don’t shut people down.

The shitstorm the NBA would encounter here if he got canned would be epic and would make the NFL kneeling business look like child’s play IMO. They’ve already faced backlash from both sides of the aisle over how they’ve reacted and it would blow up exponentially if they fired him.
