I’d take Shaq and Hakeem 100/100 times over Jokic
I’d take Jokic as a 3 100/100 times over Shaq and Hakeem though

I was bored today and I started comparing his stats to some of great centers and I believe he has a very good chance to be the goat center. I'm not sure if he can become the overall all time goat but just going by stats and stats only his #s may end up being better than MJ LeBron Kobe. When people talk about being the goat they always look at how many championships they have won.
He got his team to the finals one time. He has a lot of talent on the Denver team and he needs to take all that MVP talent you speak about and get back to the promised land many more times. Personally, I don't think he is coming out of the West, again.

That’s a meme. You don’t get this good by just horsing around with your horses.

JOKIC: Basketball is not the main thing in my life, and probably never [will] be. And to be honest, I like it, because I have something more at home.

Duncan played the majority of his career at Center. His versatility to play PF shouldn't be held against him (or Olajuwon, who also played PF next to Sampson). He is, was and has always been a Center that could just play other roles. Pop admitted a long time ago that Duncan was a Center. In any other instance he plays Center. If you review all time lists, Duncan is above both Shaq and Olajuwon, so the only debate is his position. If you were building a team, you wouldn't play/start Duncan at Center?
Robinson is my favorite athlete of all time, cause of who he is as a person. I can't think of a more admirable person that had done things the right way. But he could never get past Olajuwon and was muscled down by Shaq. Duncan overcame all of his peers. He should legit have 2 to 3 more rings..

In that case, some people should stop calling Duncan the best PF in history.

Lets not get carried away. He’s great but to compare as greatest is a stretch. Winning matters too.
With last night's loss, the Nikola Jokic led Nuggets fall to 14-20 against teams above .500 (2nd worst among all Western playoff teams)

I agree. Kind of like Magic as the "greatest PG" ever. It's just a made-up title.
I went to LSU too, so I get why people default to Duncan as a PF. That way Shaq doesn't have any competition as the greatest Center of his generation, and he doesn't get compared against Duncan, cause Shaq loses that debate. Duncan just had a better career by most metrics (although Shaq was vastly more talented and has greater moments).
This isn't a controversial point I am making. He played Center in college. He is listed as a Center, when he was drafted. His position is listed as PF/C on basketball reference, with Center as his primary position 10 out of 19 seasons. In those earlier years, whenever Robinson was off the floor, Duncan played Center. On just about any other team (without an all-star lever Center), Duncan is the Center. He was just versatile enough to play next to another. I believe all of that allows me to think of him as a Center..

James MJ had other HOFers on their ream Jocic has never had a all star on his team. If he plays 7-8 more years he have better numbers. Me personally I think how many rings you have to over valued when talking about the goat.

He can but he has a very long way to go

I think his numbers will easily be comparable to anyone. But championships are hard to come by and not a guarantee. I think he can maybe win 1 more before he calls it quits.
But even still, will winning 2 championships be enough to eclipse Kareem or Shaq in the eyes of most fans?

David Robinson was straight up better than Duncan. Dude is so underrated.
Duncan was made to look a lot better because he played with 3-4 HOF’ers in their primes his entire career

Well when you put up "video game" numbers but your team still loses, it's not that valuable is it?
The reason Denver keeps getting in dog fights with bad teams is because Jokic doesn't play defense, leading to easy buckets for the other team. Thus more opportunities for Jokic to stat pad on the other end.
In that 60/10/10 game last week he was only +4.

He's not going to be Top 5 All Time type.
His case is to be a better version of a Moses Malone-- huge numbers, multiple MVPs, and a title under his belt. That's doable.
