No it would not. It's illigal. Why slap him on the wrist? Because he is a football player????
Love how you guys change your tone of punishment depending on who is being punished.

Glad Greg Robinson is not a Brown anymore. Now you see what was protecting Baker’s blindside all season. This also confirms something else to me. I was 100% behind parting ways with John Dorsey. While everyone was laughing at the Browns, I was fully behind the decision. He has a track record of drafting and signing players with all kinds of issues. He’s a low moral man. Look at all the questionable people he’s associated with acquiring. The list ridiculous.... Greg Robinson, Tyreke Hill, Kareem Hunt, Antonio Callaway etc. You could even throw OBJ in there. Not to mention the Myles Garrett situation happened under his belt. Which was a microcosm of hiring Freddie Kitchens. Anyway, does Greg Robinson realize weed is legal in like 8 states? He didn’t have to go to Mexico for it. Complete idiot.

Probably just bought a few shoe boxes of weed for his house like all these NFL players do.
If you’re going to Mexico and crossing the border with it yourself you’re doing it fricking wrong if this is what he was doing.

Shocking you’d be in favor for long term incarnation for weed
pretty big difference in smoking weed and trying to smuggle large quantities of drugs across the border. I'll wait for the rest of the facts to come out, but given what's been going on with the drug trade in Mexico, this doesn't look great.

Not in my opinion

While i can see why you may have thought El Paso was in Mexico, it is, in fact, a part of Texas.
Have no idea what you are talking about here. Of course El Paso is in Texas. It borders Juarez though. From reading the case it sounded like he was passing one of these checkpoints and not actually going into Mexico. I coukd be wrong about that. Actually going into Mexico changes a lot.

so for the sake of argument, let's suppose someone is working with a drug cartel in Mexico that kills people without hesitation as matter of standard business: politicians, law enforcement, innocent bystanders, and whoever else they deem necessary. Would that change your opinion on comparing it to someone simply smoking weed recreationally? If we're talking about your local dealer who sells weed to his friends in low quantities, sure. But people who are selling in weight are typically involved in more illegal activity than simply getting their friends high. And for the record, I think weed should be legalized, but that doesn't mean I don't think drug dealers are on the same level as someone smoking weed.
That's why I said I'll wait until the facts come out. There's too many variables in play to take such a black and white stance.

The issue I have here with this situation is the murdering. Don’t care about him slinging weed.

And I would have no issues or objections to them going away for those other illegal activities.
If someone kills my neighbor, I’m not going to care about the parking tickets they didn’t pay.

I can’t get actual scale from that picture, but those don’t look to be small amounts.
