This is what happens when teams have to check off a box in the hiring process.

When you make a bullshite rule, things like sham interviews are bound to happen.

Bill Belichick and the Giants will be in some deep shite if all this is true. Bill probably gets a game suspension and the Giants probably lose a couple of draft picks. If Sean Payton texted that, he’d get a lifetime suspension. Saints would lose 10 picks or something.

Scrap the Rooney Rule altogether then. Not a single coach has been hired because owner's magically changed their mind based on an interview

reading through that Petition...

Flores is F'ing done. No team will hire him. He makes some REALLY serious allegations and says some pretty crazy shite, and goes full on Race Pimp/Victim.

Basically says that being labeled a difficult a-hole stems from the "angry black man" racist trope, not...

Him possibly being a difficult a-hole.

After the end of the 2019 season, Mr. Ross began to pressure Mr. Flores to recruit
a prominent quarterback in violation of League tampering rules. Mr. Flores repeatedly refused to
comply with these improper directives. Undeterred, in the winter of 2020, Mr. Ross invited Mr.
Flores onto a yacht for lunch. Shortly after he arrived, Mr. Ross told Mr. Flores that the
prominent quarterback was “conveniently” arriving at the marina. Obviously, Mr. Ross had
attempted to “set up” a purportedly impromptu meeting between Mr. Flores and the prominent
quarterback. Mr. Flores refused the meeting and left the yacht immediately. After the incident,
Mr. Flores was treated with disdain and held out as someone who was noncompliant and difficult
to work with.

Just say Deshaun Watson

quote:

Thus, on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Mr. Flores was forced to sit through a
dinner with Joe Schoen, the Giant’s new General Manager, knowing that the Giants had already
selected Mr. Daboll. Much worse, on Thursday, January 27, 2022, Mr. Flores had to give an
extensive interview for a job that he already knew he would not get—an interview that was held
for no reason other than for the Giants to demonstrate falsely to the League Commissioner Roger
Goodell and the public at large that it was in compliance with the Rooney Rule.

And if you already knew the interview was a sham, why go at all? Nobody forced you to go get a free dinner, airfare, and accommodations.

Bill didn't do anything besides be an old man texting. The Giants are favored organization so it'll probably be a 6th rounder.

I mean I wouldn’t put it past goodell to try to make this a BB thing, but he’s not culpable in this at all

He's giving up the chance of getting a job. You aren't saying that's an impossibility are you. That would be a strange argument to make.

Because if he skips the interview people will say he's difficult and not trying to get hired.

Only 8 of the NFL’s 32 teams (25%) employ a Black Special Teams Coordinator

Only 3 of the NFL’s 32 teams (9%) employ a Black Quarterback Coach and

Only 6 of the NFL’s 32 teams (19%) employ a Black General Manager

These numbers come from a pool of players that is approximately 70% Black.

So a group that represents 13% of the population is mad that that they are under represented when 70% of the members are from that group? in 5 of the 7 groups listed above they are over represented. Many other group have a real claim of injustice.

But if you believe you aren’t being actually being given that chance then what are you losing?

I’m not no, but if he feels this way and feels he has enough evidence to prove it, then telling him “oh no this is going to cost you a job” doesn’t really mean anything, because in his view he’s not getting an actual opportunity to do so.

Bill has nothing to do with the Giants organization. Him hearing "Brian" got the job and texting the wrong guy gets him suspended?
