But at the same time the giants are going to have to come to court with more than “we didn’t officially hire Brian Daboll at that point”
What do they have to come to court with? Being unprofessional and checking a box to flimsily comply with NFL policy doesn’t entitle Flores to millions. The Giants and Broncos are perfectly okay with this.

The value of those two is as lagniappe to the entities actually fricked - the Dolphins and the league as a whole if an owner is paying to tank.

This is not a “I was discriminated against” lawsuit as much as it is a revenge “I’m going to be a tremendous headache so pay me now and make me go away” to the league.

Proof that they were giving him a legit interview at the job and that they hadn’t already landed on Daboll as the pick.

Or alternative they could bring some evidence that no one on their team expressed to Belicheck that the hire had been made.

But what law does that break?

So they have to prove their “innocence”?

The nfl is so racist that it forces their teams to interview minorities even though they already have someone else they want to hire.

I'm glad this is happening though.

Let’s go to the extreme and assume that Daboll and NYG signed the contract before Flores even arrived.

Where is the racial discrimination?

Being unprofessional to a candidate and breaking a league’s private policy doesn’t mean you owe them millions.

Lolwat

They don’t need proof of anything.

That’s the Plaintiff’s job.

Which is dumb.

Anyways, hopefully this will be the end of the rooney rule, although I know it won't be.

That was kind of a kick in the nuts. Belichik congratulated him on becoming a coach in the NFL only the say he messed up and it’s actually someone else. Oops.
