Whatever happened to the Vols fan, who would get so upset, i think his name was rando? rondo? He used to get so mad at Derek Dooley.

which is fine, the sec was going to win a national title again so it doesn't matter.

It would be pretty funny though if the sec was the only league playing and UGA ended up winning the SEC but still didn't get a natty

There won’t be CFB this fall. It will be a spring season with fans.

NFL with play in the Fall without fans.

I’m not saying I like that necessarily, but that’s what’s going to happen. The writing is on the wall.

If they do that, will they start in January? I think they would have to or you're really starting to effect the following season.

I think the plan being considered is to start in February, playoffs in May, NFL draft moved back.

It’s not a perfect plan, but it would be a full season, with fans, and effectively keep everyone’s football revenue fairly close to normal.

Everyone is certainly hoping the Fall 2020 season will happen as scheduled, And that’s the official position for now, but everyone knows that looks more and More unlikely with each passing day.

That's probably what I would do. If you play the entire Big Ten schedule in January and February, it will be a beautiful disaster.

For the record, I'm totally ok with LSU playing Florida every year and Ole Miss playing Vanderbilt

While Alabama gets to play a team in the East that Vandy has beaten 3 of the last 4 years.

Seriously in what way do you think the situation in February (in prime flu season mind you) will be so significantly different from September that school administrators nationwide will be comfortable having full capacity games? A possible vaccine that will at best will have limited availability and uncertain side effects?

Also how many athletic departments have the reserves to float coaching salaries and nutrition health etc for players to make it till the spring?

Basically what Im saying is the no play side has dug their heels in on this issue and there is no solution that will appease them for the next year.

That’s a BIG assumption to assume everything will be hunky-dory in the spring to have a full
stadium.

So what do all of those players vying for the NFL do?

Get fricked over and waste a year?

Or does the NCAA open back up the transfer portal and gut those programs?

I just don't see how you can play a full season in the Spring and then turnaround a couple months later getting ready to play again in the Late August/September.

If football isn’t a home there is no way to fund other sports seasons.

Unless there’s a massive 2nd wave collapsing healthcare, the SEC will absolutely play

don't think they are going to play exhibitions just for the football revenue, but I could be wrong. The Pac is probably going to ruin this for everyone. We need the B1G to stand firm. You have to think SEC and Big 12 want football at all costs. I have no idea about the ACC. You know Clemson wants to play, but the nerds at places like Duke might not want to play along.

The SEC does not need the permission of any other conference to play.

What a stupid plan that would be. Why would anything be substantively different between say November and February? It won’t.

Um, let's say there is not going to be a playoff. You think the SEC is still going to play football?

Yes. And they will make money doing so.

I respectfully disagree. I think if a couple of the power five punk out, there is just going to be too much political pressure on everyone else to scrap the season. It would be awful optics to send kids out there because athletic programs need the money.

Wait a second. You think the players are going to have to be “sent” to play football? I can promise you the players are the last people involved in this who would not want to be on the field.

Soft university administrators are the only obstacle. Everyone involved with the actual teams want to be on the field playing games
