When it's all said and done, who will have the better career?

I'm starting to think Bregman will be the answer. Not taking anything from Correa, I think he'll have an excellent career too, but man Bregman just seems to be getting better and better every week/month.

Recent exploits aside... gotta go with Correa.

Talk about being a prisoner of the moment

Career WAR:

Correa 19.4

Bregman 9.4

Correa is younger

I see Correa being a somewhat poor man’s A-Rod with Bregman potentially being Dustin Pedroia.

I still say Correa.

Correa. Bregman is clutch, but Correa will be an MVP candidate here shortly.

Correa. I think both will have success and great careers, but there's no doubt in my mind that Correa has the better career.

Barring injury.....it will be Correa. Rather easily I might add.

Let’s hope neither one turns into Andrew McCutcheon. Talk about hype and being good 3-4 years ago and now he’s faded into obscurity.

Bregman's natural position is SS so the career WAR would be much closer if he had been playing there and Correa at 3rd (which may happen eventually?).

I had the same discussion with a friend about a month ago and picked Correa, without thinking there was even a debate. I would probably still pick Correa but am starting to see that it's closer than I previously thought.

The Astros obviously can't keep all of these young stars forever. Without knowing all of the contract details, guessing that Springer may be odd man out.

Whats amazing is the Stros could have Nola as well

They passed on him for Brady Aiken

The Stros would have gone from great team these last few years, to unbeatable if Nola was there

And that is what most think, but I am in the minority.

As analytical as Luhnow is, I expect he will reason that his budget won't allow him to keep everyone, and when the numbers crunch, Correa is the most likely to be overpaid on the open market, and he will be fortunate to have a Bregman to fill that hole.

I feel that Springer will be much more affordable, and I also feel that Correa is the most likely to have the big market aspirations. If Correa rights the ship and gets things going offensively until the end of his Astros control, he is a 30 mil/yr candidate.

Thus far, Altuve has proven his worth and is fairly compensated at about 23/yr. Honestly, Correa doesn't have that kind of track record yet, and with injuries, lower average, and higher K's, is he worth more than Altuve?

Personal fan reasons or baseball reasons?

Baseball reasons. They won a title last year with this team. No idea what happens in the case of that trade off.

Also Nola is good and having a breakout year but I’ll take the position player. Much less risky in terms of injuries
