have legitimately never seen anyone giving out food and water to people in line to vote. I can also assume that no one does this out of the goodness of their hearts. They are absolutely trying to influence voters by giving away food and water
Influence them to which way?

Proof that this was a knee jerk reaction by Manfred in response to political pressure.
The people fricked by this are, ironically, the bipartisan fanbase of the Braves.
Freddie, Marcell, Ronnie, Ozzie. None of them asked for this to happen. It occurred behind closed doors for nothing more than publicity

My understanding from reading the conversations surrounding this is that the main problem people against the bill have is the bill’s restriction of providing food or water to voters waiting in lines
If you want to stand on the sidewalk or in the parking lot, as long as you observe those two distances, you can hand out as much food and water as you want.

Bunch of chicken shite owners afraid of the label racist. State has the right to conduct their affairs as they see fit. Maybe baseball would like non-baseball types telling them how to manage their rosters or pick their colors and logos. Politics doesn’t have to be represented in every aspect of our lives. I hope they have to start adding women in the starting lineups.

Honestly I don’t care but do you think most lines go over 150 feet away from the facility?

I don’t think you need it, I also don’t see any reason to ban the giving of water

Yes I know. Always the same playbook.
Democrat politicians think black people are the dumbest, most incompetent people on the planet. Yet every election they continue to vote them into office in ridiculous numbers. It's just so sad and pathetic to watch.
But every election...like clockwork.

It doesn't do that. It simply prohibits entities that are soliciting votes from doing that. You're being misled.
quote:
(a) No person shall solicit votes in any manner or by any means or method, nor shall any person distribute or display any campaign material, nor shall any person give, offer to give, or participate in the giving of any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and drink, to an elector, nor shall any person solicit signatures for any petition, nor shall any person, other than election officials discharging their duties, establish or set up any tables or booths on any day in which ballots are being cast
(1) Within 150 feet of the outer edge of any building within which a polling place is established;
(2) Within any polling place; or
(3) Within 25 feet of any voter standing in line to vote at any polling place.
The bill also states that poll workers can make available "self-service water from an unattended receptacle to an elector waiting in line to vote."

It says no person shall solicit, and then separately nor shall any person... etc
Those can easily be read as separate restrictions that no one at all is allowed to give food or water, and in fact that’s how I would argue it should be read

I recall reading that MLB wanted Cobb County to foot the bill for the security and off duty police to staff the events surrounding the game.
Good riddance, take this overhyped exhibition somewhere else. Its not like it is even an accessible or affordable outing for families like it once was.

I just don’t understand how these fricking companies run off their primary fans/customers. I’ve never seen a bunch of soy swilling hipster doofuses watching baseball while listening to their phonographs.

Maybe so. If so, I'm totally fine with that.

Now why on earth would a left wing activist group like MLB want the police out there killing POCs at their all star game. I'm starting a Twitter campaign for a police free all star game. And if you see it on Twitter, you have to assuage my outrage!
