#STLCards trade 1B Matt Adams to the Braves for 1B/3B Juan Yepez. Yepez will be assigned to low-A Peoria.
i told you he fit perfectly, and allowed cardinals to clear a slot on 40 man roster.

What I don't understand is what is the Cards motivation to make this trade? They are playing well and a guy like this would surely help them contend.

Someone had to go to make room for Piscotty. Adams has some pop. Good no risk trade for Barves.

The rest of their guys who could play first when Carpenter can't are more flexible regarding other positions.

I like Adams but he is just a guy, should be useful for the Braves while Freeman is out.

I'm not sure what Bonifacio brings to the table that Peterson doesn't....and Peterson is better at it. Carmargo and Santana are both better options as well.
