The results of this study indicate that patients with an Achilles tendon re-rupture had continued symptoms and functional deficits on the injured side, after a long-term follow-up. Patients with an Achilles tendon re-rupture had worse patient-reported outcomes but similar or superior functional results compared with patients with primary ruptures.

How the hell is a pitcher tearing his Achilles, and how in the hell does it happen a second time from walking?
I would think he’d have a good case to sue the shite out of that surgeon.

He done. That’s a bummer. He had some serious talent. If he ever comes back, he will be a shell.

Yea at that point I'd just go ahead and retire. I hope he's got some stuff saved up.

His body rejected the sutures. It supposedly was very rare and very fluky. Soroka is super competitive and tough as nails and was trying to come back too soon, I think. The original injury happened in August last year and he should have been held out until 2022, IMO.

Someone just stick a 10 inch dildo in my arse and call me sally.

This season is more depressing than the years when we actually didnt have talent.

Don't be silly. He is only 22. If he was 32, I'd be inclined to agree. But he has youth and he is a dogged competitor, he has a hockey mindset. That'll serve him well.

Now as someone said above, that ortho needs to be sued to oblivion. Use Dr.Andrews this time.

It’s a twice over Achilles rupture. He won’t ever be what he could have been and the re-.tear is just going to contribute to the likelihood of further Achilles injury, particularly as a pitcher.
