BC had 12 times the rushing yards that FSU had. So much for the D-line being even decent.

Has a preseason top10 team ever lost two games before the next poll came out?

I think so.

I remember Va Tech losing on Labor Day to Boise State and then to James Madison the following Saturday.

They will make excuses for them and rank them at 22.

I almost felt sorry for Florida State, but since LSU lost twice to them I guess what goes around comes around.

Hoping we beat Nicholls and get it together from there.

Geaux Tigers, Frick Florida State !! Take those L's

FSU still being ranked #10 after already getting smacked around by GTech is hilarious.

They don’t come out with new polls after week 0. These are still preseason rankings.

The Michigan/Appalachian State Upset Meter:

In 2007, App St was a 33 point underdog to Michigan and won by 2 points, a 35 point upset.

The Michigan/App St Upset Meter (MASUM) is a rating up to 35 for gauging the upsetness of an upset.

BC was a 16.5 underdog to FSU and won by 15, a 31.5/35 on the upset meter (90% pure).

I think the biggest swing was Stanford beating USC in 2007 as a 40+ point underdog.

Eh hard to feel sorry for them even if they weren't rival. They had Bowden for so long + Jimbo + getting to feast on the ACC.

Uh I'm pretty sure a LOT of LSU fans posting on here remember that game. They were losing by 10 to UF before Death Valley exploded when the announcer said that #1 USC lost.

Because while Pete Carroll had an outstanding record in big games he had a nasty habit of dropping a regular season game against some team they were heavily favored to beat (like when they lost to 6-5 UCLA in 2006 so UF could play in the BCS title game ),

I remember the exact moment it happened and my view from the west upper deck of Tiger Stadium as Jai Eugene cemented his place as the GOAT towel waiver.

Yeah USC was #1 in one of the polls despite #2 LSU destroying Virginia Tech by like 40 points.

When Disneyland first opened, they listed the Country Bear Jamboree as one of the most expensive tickets. Instead of limiting capacity, as intended, the public assumed since the cost of the CBJ was as expensive as Pirates of the Caribbean it was as good of a ride.

That's basically what happened with DJU, I think
TIL that DJ Ugaleilei = Country Bear Jamboree
