RRR by a touchdown to Texas.
Just FWIW, in 2006, OU got blown out by UT, they didn't lose by a TD.

If BSU is so horrible, can't we just have a playoff and have BSU get beaten in the first round and you wouldn't have to worry about it? Why should people's opinions on how good BSU is be so important to the process?
flukes happen. i tend to favor systems that eliminate the chance of flukes
and BSU STILL wouldn't have had to face the same road to a playoff and would have an unfair advantage

I like that you WON"T answer my question. Its shows something. ARGUE all you want Jake. BSU is the real deal. THIS year they would only lose to FLA and BAMA!!! BUT SINCE YOU think you know everything I guess there is NO sense posting.

BCS just promotes regular season flukes.
We were damn close to a PSU/Oklahoma NCG a few years ago... which would've left out Florida and USC, the 2 best teams in the nation. As it is, USC was still left out due to a fluke loss to Oregon State.
Boise State's bowl record is just an arbitrary stat... 4 losses by 6 points or less... fluky.

If they had to play even 5 BCS teams in a year, they would be an 8-4 team every year. And I am not saying 5 really good BCS teams, just 5 average or above average teams. Shoot, they are going to fall just from having to play in the rough and tough MWest.

If they played in the SEC and went 8-4. SFP would be wrong. I think they would do great in the SEC THIS year. SEC will be down this year again. SERIOUS!!!

I actually believe that all teams should have equal access to a title and major bowl games. I know, crazy idea, right? Treat all the schools in the same classification the same...
How do they not have equal access? Are they not part of the Harris poll? Does Sagarin not include them in his rankings? Until they go play a real schedule, it is their own fault that they aren't in the title picture.

they would be wore down and beat up half way through the SEC schedule. They don't have the overall size and lack the depth to compete week in and week out in the SEC. Same for the rest of the BCS conferences

yeah BSU is small as frick
they're built on WAC speed
they wear down in the wac. i can only imagine what they'd do in the SEC

Their schedule will get a lot tougher next year too. Not that the MWest is really tough, but it is a far better league than one that claims San Jose St. and New Mexico.

If they played in the SEC this year, they would likely be around 7-5, and that is only if they played all 4 OOC games against WAC teams.

Disagree!!! You people don't want to realize that player will go where they can play NOW. Thats why all this is an issue in the first place. There are a TON of players that could go to a top teir SEC school, but they DON'T want to sit when they could go somewher else and play right away.

for the most part they recruit pac 10 left overs.

BSU doesn't get top recruits, and very few players play right away in boise
i don't know what you're getting at

what cost them was SOS, their loss to OSU was a "better" loss than Florida to OM.

Then how is a team made up of BCS would-be second stringers better than the team made up of BCS first stringers? Are you saying they are good because they have a bunch of players that could have gotten schollys at BCS schools, but wouldn't have been good enough to play? By the way, most of BSUs players were not even recruited at all by BCS programs. BSU's second string is made up of guys whose other offers were to Montana and Eastern Washington.

also OU and UF had been wrecking fricking shop and playing at a higher level in tougher conferences

they were player better competition, but USC's D was absolutely wrecking shop the end of that year.

Against a lower overall Strength of Schedule. This was nothing new for USC. Remember it was a lower SoS than LSU that doomed USC's chances to face Oklahoma in the 2003 BCS title game.
