Ok, but I’m sure anyone from anywhere that regularly gets snow would guffaw at the idea that what we had was a blizzard.

I had 11” of snow, 35 mph winds and about a 1/4 mile of visibility, what the frick do you think they call that elsewhere?

just ask the dinosaurs. Had the humans in that day stopped driving SUVs and eating burgers, dinosaurs might still be here

Upwards of 10. It was unreal. Very fun day

It was not that deep at my house but it was not far from it. I have a rain gauge that reads up to 5 inches and it was full and is at least an inch more than the graduated portion. That is why I said over 6. It was surreal to be sure. If I still had young children, it would have been fun. It is quite beautiful though.

I’m going to stop a bit short of calling it a blizzard.

The snow was blowing sideways and I could barely see the house a half mile away. It a blizzard

They’ll technicality is you need sustained winds of 35 mph for over 3 hours to officially be a blizzard. It’s why the warnings used the phrase “blizzard conditions” because we did have moments where we met every requirement except duration.

11” by the river in Jefferson Parish, but saw some people have sections as high as 18” closer to the lake (don’t know if it was sections next to a fence or the middle of the yard)

I’d like to see Buffalo win it, too. Just as soon as Washington is eliminated.

For the area, it most definitely was a blizzard. Kind of like New York getting a hurricane and thinking the world has ended but it's normal for us on the gulf coast.

Why is the flagpole attached to a tree and not the house? Looks trashy.

I summited Mt. Hood in much worse conditions.

Happy y’all had a snow day but not impressed

I remember being a young boy and it snowing in New Orleans. My grandfather, RIP, was taking a bunch of pics.

Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to make a snow man.

I had 5” of snow, barely any wind at all, but the snow was coming down pretty hard for a while. That’s why I didn’t really consider it a blizzard.

Yeah, I'm in Idaho now and I think we have gotten 3 inches total from Thanksgiving until today. Cold as balls but no snow. I will take it after the past 2 or 3 winters.

Pretty cool seeing the pictures of BR and New Orleans yesterday.

This was at 8am, with 7 hours of snow left to come down. Just a wee bit windy

No more than it does the OP. How is his experience any less anecdotal than mine?

Yeah, sorry about the derail. Go Bills and Redskins.
